Tocketts Mill Country Park is set just off the main Guisborough to Skelton Road in a picturesque sheltered valley. The busy bar and restaurant is the centrepiece of this popular park offering a choice of three distinctively different dining areas alongside a beautiful garden terrace in the summer months. The country-style bar is filled with interesting artefacts and features a welcoming log burner whilst the modern and spacious restaurant has a real buzz about it. The additional garden room ‘Chico’s’ brings the outside in all year round with bright parasols, patio heaters and feature lighting. Menus are based on British/European dishes and change to get the best choice of seasonal produce. There is also a weekly specials board and all produce is sourced from local suppliers wherever possible. The drinks menu has a wide range of wines, spirits, cocktails and continental lagers alongside more traditional beers. This family owned restaurant has been operating for more than 22 years and prides itself on the quality of its food and service. It’s open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as well as their popular Traditional Four Roast Sunday Carvery. Larger celebrations and functions are catered for too with hot and cold buffet menus available for larger group bookings. And if you fancy staying over, a wide range of holiday homes are available to choose from.

We visited on Sunday for the carvery. Once again we were not let down. It was delicious as usual. We are regular customers and the staff and service are always excellent. We will be back soon.

We have been regular customers for about 3 years visiting the restaurant most weeks. The staff have always been very good, but this tear the food has been disappointing. It seems the quality of the produce and the quality of the preparation and cooking have gone down substantially. Recently we have tried the fish pie. It was spot the fish under very watery mashed potato. The price for what we received was too high. If you want a good fish pie for much less money, try Tiger Inn at Easington. Much better value and actually much better food. Last night at Tocketts I had the Roadt beef. The meat was very nice, however, the mashed potato was very watery, Yorkshire Pudding tasteless, Roast Potatoes soggy and tasteless, Brocvoli, Cauliflower and beans all OK but Carrots undercooked and tasteless. I complained and received a partial discount. We will not be going back any time soon.

Avoid this place. Customer service is very poor. I complained to the waitress thst my wifes food was not cooked properly and she could not eat it, this resulted in her "advising the chef". We were not offered a replacement meal , refund or a simple apology. I followed this up by a phone call to speak to the Manager ..... no answer. Sent two emails and had no call back, or acknowledgement of the situation. We will never return. Suggest people looking for a decent place to eat avoids this place like the plague.

Booked a Sunday lunch. The service was fantastic and the meal delicious. The pay as you go option made entry and exit really smooth. A lovely meal with good friends

Booked for 430, waited outside at the door till 450, Sat, had drinks & token, waited for an hour before we were sent to queue with 10 people in front for our meal!! Never asked for another drink, had to call over for puds & coffee. Terrible service & we bought friends who were appalled! Just basic carrots & broccoli. Never again xx

Excellent meal and great service. Would eat at this restaurant a lot more if they made their conservatory dog friendly! The floor is paved and cannot see the problem of well behaved dogs! They are losing business!
