About Trawden Arms

The Trawden Arms was purchased by the residents of the village of Trawden in October 2021 after a fundraising campaign that raised half a million pounds. And as you would expect it has a real community feel. It’s open plan with large tables and cosy touches including open fires and ‘snug’ areas. The pub is family and dog friendly too and also perfect for walkers enjoying the local area with four letting rooms available through Airbnb. Food at the Trawden Arms is casual with a focus on quality fresh and local produce and ranges from pub classics to more adventurous daily specials. And the drinks selection is carefully crafted to cover all bases with a full wine and spirits list as well as a broad range of beers on tap and rotating ales from local brewers. The Trawden Arms also has regular music and entertainment events throughout the year.

We've been staying in Trawden for the week and we've eaten at the Trawden Arms 3 times. It doesn't disappointing, the food is lovely, the staff and customers warm and welcoming and there's plenty on during the week to entertain. So glad that the pub came into community ownership as we love it. My grandparents lived in the village, we come to stay in their house often and the pub is always a highlight of our stay.

The burgers were so good we've already booked to go again. Food was piping hot and fresh. The staff were helpful, friendly and attentive. We were happy people with happier tummies!

Came from Durham for a long weekend camping in Trawden and stumbled upon the Trawden Arms pub. What can I say, we were so pleased to have found Trawden Arms. Fabulous service and one of the best pub meals we’ve ever had, clean plates all round. We will definitely be popping in next time we’re in the area.

We were staying locally and booked a meal here, lovely friendly pub (thanks for your help with the milk!!) food delicious and extremely reasonably priced. It had a really nice vibe, shame we were only staying the one night or we would have been back!

The vegetarian choices on the main course menu were so limited that I had to take my brother and sister-in-law elsewhere for lunch. This was a pity because the roast nut loaf I had when I went with six friends for Sunday lunch was excellent. The service was outstanding. We were welcomed warmly and efficiently by a young man whose name I just can’t remember! He and the young lady who assisted him could not have been more attentive. All of use were pleased with our choices of main courses and delicious desserts and we will definitely be returning!

Excellent food. Attentive and friendly server. Best pint of Guinness! Fabulous and excellent value for money accommodation. A credit to the landlords and community owners. Great set up! Well done Trawden village. We hope to enjoy a slice of village life on a return visit one day.
