About Verdes Restaurant

Verdes Restaurant at Eccleston, near Chorley, has a wonderful waterside setting which provides the perfect backdrop to their Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. Naples-born Head Chef Giuseppe Cioffi has more than 16 years’ experience with Verdes and as well as the extensive a la carte selection there are great-value lunch and early bird menus. Produce is locally sourced where possible and gluten-free pasta and pizza bases are available, as well as vegan and vegetarian choices. And the bar menu covers a wide selection of wines, gins and cocktails. Verdes has undergone a recent refurbishment with the addition of a stylish new lounge bar. Open Tuesday to Sunday for lunch and dinner.

Arrived and was just pointed to our booked table so we just had to guess which table, had to ask after 20mins if we could order some drinks and get some food menus. Ordered drinks with a waitress after 20mins still no drinks. When guy came to take our food order I asked for our drinks no drinks had been ordered!! When drinks did arrive they had ran out off pint glasses and put our larger in brandy glasses we mentioned this and the reply was we have ran out off glasses!! Food was alot quicker than drinks in fact we had got our starters before our 1st drinks had arrived. Food was lovely but everything else was awful. My husband mentioned all this to the manager as we were paying and he got the poorest apology. We won't be returning again.
