Visited on Sunday (Fathers Day) and it was fabulous. We visited two years ago and it was just as good. We booked a table inside hut because it was lovely we managed to get a seat outside which was no bother for staff- had a roast dinner and my gosh, the beef was beautiful!! Definitely visit again!

We have been to the vic many times over the years and have always enjoyed the Sunday lamb roast, however on this occasion and although the lamb roast was very nice myself and my partner were surprised that we only got served 2 roast potatoes each.

Chose from special day menu, minced pork pie etc. Came in metal pot and 90% of pie in pot was mash potato with small amount of mince ! Not a pie !

Lovely Sunday lunch, was pleased to be able to order a smaller portion. Was served really quickly even though it was really busy. Will definitely visit again

Fabulous Sunday lunch last weekend. Both the lamb and beef were delicious and a lovely big portion of meat. Came with all the usual accompaniments which were also well cooked. Will defo return when next visiting the area.

Setting is lovely and they put us in a nice quiet corner. Good points are that the staff were lovely and tried to be helpful, although all very young, and the food was okay and came out quickly Bad points, quite overpriced for the portions and quality of some of the food. £18 for a bog standard curry is a bit ridiculous. They had ran out of quite a few things and when asked about some of the allergy foods the staff weren't fully confident in some of their answers. No allergen menu. Some of the food was a bit chewy and dry as we were there towards the end of the day it was obviously not fresh. Staff started moving furniture round whilst we were still in the dining room and it was very loud and disturbing. They should have either waited for us to be finished or lift the furniture instead of scraping it loud across the floors while people are talking.
