About Vine Inn

Hidden away down a small lane and surrounded by woods and a river you will find the delightful Vine Inn. This character-filled pub sits in the heart of the Client Hills, a popular walking area near Stourbridge and closer than you might expect to Birmingham. With its low ceilings, open fires, brasses, clocks and extensive gardens, it’s got everything you might look for a in a classic old country pub. The bar area offers a wide selection of ales, local ciders and wines and the smart restaurant area with its linen-clothed tables offers a menu that combines pub classics with their trademark fresh fish and game dishes from the Specials Board. The Vine Inn is open for lunch and dinner seven days a week. Dogs are welcome but only in the lounge area. Booking is essential for inside and highly recommended outside.

My elderly mother and I had a wonderful lunch. The food was excellent with a good choice of vegetarian options. The staff were very helpful opening the disabled door as we arrived as my mother was using crutches. The staff also helped her leave the toilet as she would have struggled to open the heavy wooden doors. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful and we will definitely return with my wife and dog.

We travelled some miles to the Vine to meet friends and we were glad we made the journey. It was a quiet evening because of poor weather but the log fires and warmth of the welcome made for a cosy winter evening. The food was delicious and very generous and the service was excellent. We will definitely visit again.....this is a great pub!

On a January Wednesday evening when we were initially the only diners, the manager Simon made us feel really welcome. He lit the log fire, which made the gorgeous old pub just perfect. We ordered glasses of Malbec, which was fabulous wine & went perfectly with the special of Partridge. The Partridge meal was delicious, a perfect winter dish. I had the special of cod, which while also delicious, but I think is a better dish for Spring or Summer. We had sticky toffee pudding, which was delicious & so light served with salted caramel ice cream. We also had Christmas pudding with custard....another good dish. Unfortunately the game pie wasn't available, so we shall be returning in hope of sampling that!

Always good food ale and fruit wines here, with good service and value. They all work hard to look after the customers. Despite a snowy night and the end of festivities we had a lovely meal with fresh food, the chef is consistently good.

Nice cosy traditional style country pub having an excellent choice and variety with the food and drinks The food is traditionally home cooked food and the staff are very efficient and welcoming It’s set in the clent hills and is also dog friendly Will definitely be returning to try other options that are on the menu

Birthday meal with family of 4 adults and a 12yr old. All enjoyed the food and would recommend the quality. The restaurant was busy but service was good.
