This is the second time I've been here and both times it was poor value for money given the paltry quantities of the main course. I had such a bad experience on the first visit I actually asked the staff to confirm that my choice would be an ample portion yet still I got anything but. My neighbour in our group ordered a meat and potato pie and between us we could barely spot a single piece of meat amongst the ubiquitous potato. Definitely a place to avoid: go to The Strines instead -- much larger portions of both the dish and accompanying vegetables. My experience is that pub restaurants generally are going downhill, with most experiences disappointing.
