Standing at Garn-yr-Erw on the edge of the Blaenavon World Heritage landscape, The Whistle Inn & Park enjoys a unique location beside the northern terminus of the Pontypool and Blaenavon Railway, where heritage steam trains regularly arrive just a short stroll from the pub. Dating back around 200 years and long associated with the area's industrial and railway heritage, the inn today offers a welcoming blend of traditional hospitality and modern facilities. Menus focus on generous pub classics, grills, burgers, Sunday roasts and seasonal specials, complemented by a selection of cask ales, wines and spirits, while regular live music and events add to the lively atmosphere. The food was delicious and served in good time even though the restaurant was busy b wry clean and the staff are amazing I originally booked for 4 but added an extra person and they were very accommodating Would highly recommend been there now 4 times and always had great service and the prices are great

We enjoyed our 30th anniversary meal at The Whistle Inn. The conservatory has a lovely with a view of the surrounding countryside. The food was excellent with good sized portions and the staff were very welcoming and efficient. It was good value for money with the weekday 20 percent off.

My partner and I have been to this friendly little place three times and ate there twice. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals and desserts, very very good. The Whistle Inn was recommended to us by our biker friend - Dai Food:-> need I say more? Lol. We have been warned, however, NOT to order the full grill - Rosies grill I think, as not even the mighty god of food could finish it!!!! But if your hungry, hey - I'd say go for it and fill your boots, but don't have breakfast that day - or the week prior too come to think of it !! Lol. Great place excellent atmosphere!! Brill. Lovely scenery and love the sheep too :-> Will be going back lots. Yum. :->
