About The Whitchaff Inn

With its commanding views out across the Rossendale Valley, the Whitchaff Inn is a great spot for a delicious meal or a pint of cask ale. It’s convenient for both Rawtenstall and Edenfield and this Robinsons pub – a former coaching house – has recently been refurbished to a high standard. Food is served at lunch and dinner seven days a week and as well as pub classics and modern British dishes there are separate Gluten Free, Vegetarian and Plant Based menus that cater to all tastes. Not to mention the Seasonal Specials and a yummy Pudding menu.

AS EVER THE FOOD AND SERVICE WAS GREAT TOOK SOME CLIENTS THERE FOR LUNCH AND THEY REALLY ENJOYED IT NEVER HAD A BAD MEAL MEAL YET

I went for my birthday with my husband and grandson. A lovely warm and welcoming place. I had the best sirloin steak that I've had in a long time. Portions generous and service exemplary. The only thing we didn't like was asking for a gratuity on the credit card at payment. But I suppose more places will now be doing this as the use of cash is deminishing. This will definitely be our new place to dine.

We’ve visited this pub many times and have always been impressed with the fantastic food, so unfortunately, yesterday was a disappointment. The food lacked flavour, the portions were smaller than expected, and the whole experience felt a little rushed. It’s a shame, as we’ve always had such a great experience here in the past. Hopefully, this was just a one-off, and things will be back to the usual high standard on our next visit.

Really enjoyed our meal. The menu is excellent and varied, there is always something for everyone. Staff are pleasant, welcoming and very attentive. We brought a friend with us who was most impressed and said he would be bringing his family next visit. Will be back soon, we love the place.
