About Zouk Tea Bar

Multi-award-winning Zouk Tea Bar, opposite the BBC studios on Manchester's Oxford Road, is an irresistible combination of opulent atmosphere and luxurious surroundings. It's a massive space which can accommodate up to 300 diners and comes complete with a fantastic bar serving mocktails and cocktails, a mezzanine floor for private functions and one of Manchester's best outdoor dining spaces which changes its mood to match the seasons. Zouk's food is a refreshing take on Indian and Pakistani cuisine with a winning combination of delicious Lahore street food and dishes from across the subcontinent, all prepared in a theatre-style open kitchen. Signature dishes include their famous Indian Sajji Roasts which offer a whole leg of lamb or whole roast chicken marinated in spices and served with spicy roast potatoes and delicious gravy. Zouk is also famed for its Lamb nihari and Lamb sultani and grilled sharing platter. There is also a Zouk Cookery School where you can pick up some trade secrets and an outside catering service is available too.

Absolutely love the Indian brunch menu. Spicy comfort food for breakfast is a big winner for me. Spiced keema with scrambled egg awesome as was the Bombay baked eggs. If hungover it's mandatory with a cheeky bloody Mary!

I went to Zouk on a recent trip to manchester and would like to say i had a lovely experience. The staff were very friendly and pleasing. Food was to die for not had such good quality and fresh food like that. I would recommend it to anyone reading for a truly wonderful experience in a wonderful restaurant i would visit Zouk.

Firstly, let me say I'm Asian and I've grown up eating authentic, North Punjabi food. All too often, restaurants disappoint me with unauthentic food with far too much oil and food colouring - nothing like the food I grew up eating. I've been to Zouk around ten times now and each experience has been wonderful. The food has always been great - fresh, superbly spiced and seasoned and nicely presented. Meat dishes are so tender and the vegetable dishes are imaginative and a welcome break from the usual options in other establishments. The Nan and rotis are the best I've had. And the pilau rice is what it should be - cooked with cloves, cinnamon and spices rather that the coloured boiled rice you find in so many restaurants. The staff have always been polite and helpful. This place is far better than a couple of London based Michelin star Indian restaurants I've eaten in, and costs far less! Can't wait to go back soon. Highly, recommended.

Dreadful experience. Treated very badly from start to finish. Food nice but everything else terrible.

5th time eating here and can't fault the place. Great food @ a great price... Lamb nahari is to die for,and the girlfriend has found her fav on the menu(veg karahi) And a jug of mango lassi tops the meal off. Can't wait till the Xmas menu starts... Keep up the good work.
