The staff were very friendly but the food was average. I have never before been charged for an additional small jug of gravy! Potatoes were poor, roast potatoes which were very pale and rather uninteresting vegetables. Turkey was very nice, however and plenty of it. The pub was very quiet for a Sunday lunch-time which may send a message!

Unfortunately we chose a bad night to eat with you. There was some sort of birthday celebration going on which led to unacceptable delay in being served. In excess of an hour. The manager eventually came out to apologise but far too late. Had we not already paid we would have left. I have to say that the food when it arrived was very good.

What a lovely friendly place. The staff were extremely helpful friendly and polite. They made us feel very welcome ,especially our dog. The food was delicious and generous portions. The pub was clean and comfortable. Will definitely be returning.

We waited 10 minutes for someone to serve us at the “Wait here” sign. We were then told to make our way to a table, rather than being shown to one, only to find dirty glasses and condiment sachets strewn across it. We ended up moving ourselves to another table. We ordered at the bar, and I ordered bangers and mash. Unfortunately, the sausages were rock hard, as though they had been sitting in an oven all day or had been reheated several times. I couldn’t eat them and left them on my plate. We eventually decided to leave. To make matters worse, a man at the bar was repeatedly swearing, and this was not addressed by any member of staff. We also had our dog with us. There was a designated dog station with a jar of dog treats, but the jar was empty. When we asked if there were any more, we were told they could sell us some from behind the bar! Overall, this was a dreadful experience from start to finish. The service was poor, the food was unacceptable, and the atmosphere was unpleasant. I would strongly advise against eating here.

Really good menu and the food we all ate was tasty. Clean plates all round. Great service, friendly staff.
