We found a parking space outside this place and decided to try it. Our usual is Mughli. All we can say is, after 3 years, we have decided to make this our new regular place. The mix starter and tandoori was filling, we still managed the lamb jalfraizi and chicken mesti....very delicious! We'll be there this weekend!

The food and service in this restaurant were beyond expectation,served hot and with amazingly attractive salad and sauce garnishes, it is the best value I have ever had in this type of outlet....Try the fish its to die for! Geoff Earnshaw

I have tried a number of curry houses but none have yet matched the spicy hut since first eating there over two years ago. The service is very good and all staff are very friendly. The food excellent. Recommended is the Handi either chicken or lamb.

Definitely our favourite on the Mile. Good found, smaller than most and wasn't full of leery drunks and the staff were very friendly. There were a lot of indian people eating there which to me said something about the food,

we travel from st Helen's at least once a week to dine and enjoy the fabulous food and atmosphere at this top class restaurant i would recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for the best lamb Madras anywhere

Excellent food, very welcoming and friendly staff. Once you eat here you wont want to try any of the other Rusholme restaurants. I recommend the malta curry sauce.

Living in Rusholme, I thought I had tasted reasonable Indian food a thousand times over in the various establishments along the curry mile. But the food here is something else! It may have a modest frontage (blink and you'd miss it) but the quality of food makes it stand out a mile from the others. I have taken the children there several times and the staff are brilliant with them too. Try the Lamb Handi it's wonderful. And the red dip served with the poppadoms is a must-try!

Fantastic! Been there three times now! And not spent over £40! Just come back on a Wednesday night and I have never felt better. Service was excellent, and very attentive. Even got free coffees! The owner always seems to recognise us, and this time recommended some fantastic dishes! I will not go anywhere else on curry mile apart from Shahenshah!

The food here is absolutely fabulous. I have travelled and worked in the Middle East and the food is exactly the same as you get there. The staff work very hard and are so nice to all the customers. The owner should be very proud of his business. I recommend it very highly

Amazing food, and excellent service. I had a Chicken Nawabi, and I can say I have never tasted any curry as nice as that before! Even the Naans are divine. They serve Cobra and even Kingfisher lager which is better than Cobra. Also they were busy when we went there, and not once were we waiting for any service when we wanted anything they were very attentive!

Having read favourable reviews on this site we decided to give it a go and were not disappointed. The outside has changed from many web pictures and looks more inviting now, the inside was very busy with happy diners. We sat upstairs and found the waiters extremely efficient and friendly, the food arrived quickly and was gorgeous. A korma for our 12 year old who is not very adventurous and a samber which tasted gorgeous, along with a mirhani. The peshwari naan was the best I'd tasted. Watch out for the sizzlers, how the waiters keep their eyebrows is a miracle! Will definitely go again and would strongly recommend. Fantastic value for money. Enjoy!!!!

What a fab place to eat out and enjoy, with excellent food, service, hospitality and above all a good range of wines.

We go to Shahenshah every three weeks and rarely go anywhere else. The food and service is excellent and nothing is too much trouble if you want something a little different. We think it is one of the best restaurants along "Curry Mile".
