Really Nice food

Each time we have a meal here the service and food is excellent. They are very children friendly and they always make you feel welcome. I always recommend this restaurant to family and friends. Keep up the good work

Great Great Great!!!

I am currently based in Dubai, my parents live in Manchester. I've travelled around the Middle-East but the food here has to be the best I've tasted. Try the Baba Ghannouge and Kibbeh - these guys are masters when it comes to authentic syrian/lebanese cuisine - excellent and highly recommended.

After a few bevies in town a friend and I were hungry and fancied a Chinese but outside of china town. I discovered that this little gem of a restaurant was still open being mid-week! After looking at the quite pricey menu I was expecting a small, piddly portion. Much to my surprise a huge bowl of chicken chow mien was placed in front of me and I could barely finish it. It was fresh and very tasty and accompanied the relaxed atmosphere in this authentic Chinese environment. A must for those who like a big portion as a winter warmer. Marvellous!

Visited here with a few friends and will definitely be returning. Both the food and service was second to none. Highly recommend it!!!!

We have been going here for the last 8 years, Does that not say anything. If you feel like a change ask Tommy for something off the other Menu. You wont be disappointed. Try the Ying & Yang its a meal on its own. Great Service too

I love this place and its even better now its larger and redecorated. I go about every two weeks and the guys in charge are two of the nicest guys you can meet. You can get a cheaper meal in some other places but why lower yourself when you can eat food fit for a King. P.S. Don? forget the Cobra Lager with your meal ;)

I've been eating regularly on Curry Mile for ten years, and this is still the tops. Fantastic food, well beyond the standard range. Friendly and helpful service, if a bit stretched at peak hours. The decor is nothing special (good music though) but once your meal arrives you really won't care what the wallpaper looks like...

The best restaurant in Rusholme by far. Vegetarians are well catered for. The variety of dishes not seen elsewhere is outstanding. Dosas are a must try, the Palak Kofta is a delicious main course.

Sorry to repeat myself, but we have eaten here again several times since my last and I have to repeat that this joint is serving the best food in the curry mile.

We ate here recently Apr. 2005 and agree it is excellent; we will definitely be making this our no 1 in rusholme from now on. I agree that there are a number of dishes on the menu that you can? get elsewhere. Highly recommended from a rusholme veteran.

Excellent restaurant. Food is very good and fairly unique for Manchester

I must have driven past this restaurant many times without realising it was there. But, on a friend's recommendation, my partner & I tried it tonight. We were not disappointed. A dish of mixed olives and pickles arrived as a freebie while we looked through the menu. It's fairly standard middle eastern fare. Anyone who has eaten at Aladdin in Withington or the Cedar Tree in the city centre will instantly recognise the dishes. But some of them come with a welcome bit of a twist. We shared three starters (you really can't restrict yourself to one each in a middle eastern restaurant) - Babaghanouj came as the standard aubergine and tahini dip, but the added tomato and pomegranate sauce added a sweetness; a very nice lemony tabouleh and one hot item - Ftayer (deep fired pastry filled with spinach, onions, herbs). We both followed with kebabs - my partner had a Shish while I had the mixed kebab (one skewer each of shish, chicken and kofta), accompanied with salad and rice. As mentioned by a previous reviewer, Petra is not licensed but will let you bring your own (for which they charge £1). I don't drink and my partner didn? fancy alcohol so we just had a bottle of sparkling water. Enjoyed all the dishes and was pleasantly surprised to get a bill just under £35. We'll be back. John

This is probably the most original 'Indian' restaurant in Rusholme!! There is a host of dishes available on the menu that cannot be found anywhere else in Rusholme!! (Look out for the Masala Dhosa). I would also suggest the Koftas. They are sensational!! My girlfriend and I just can't seem to have enough of them!! The staff are also very friendly and it is definitely worth a visit!
