Evening visit for a drink, first time since it reopened. Seems to run for the benefit of the bar staff and their mates. Poor service and short pints. Tables left for ages with empty glasses and crisp packets. TV set blaring everywhere but nobody watching them.

I've visited 3 times now with the most recent being this week and I would recommend this restaurant wholeheartedly. The staff are very welcoming and attentive; the chef in particular is a delight (he gave a party of 10 women a glass of baileys each as one of had a birthday, which was a lovely touch) and for the most part the food is very good with very fresh ingredients being used (for example the dips that come with the poppadoms are superior to that served in most Indian restaurants I have visited) and very reasonably priced. I don't usually eat lamb or beef at Indian restaurants, as it is often tough but here the meat falls apart at the touch and is delicious. The mild sauces can be a bit too mild for my liking and lack some flavour as a result but all the other sauces I have tried have been very flavoursome and tasty. Only the duck disappointed, on one occasion, as it was rather fatty. Overall I would say this is one of the best Indian Restaurants in Sale and I would strongly recommend it.

This is one of my favourite restaurants. The Sunday Banquet is Ideal for family get-togethers and fantastic value. The a la carte is fantastic no matter what you choose. I've worked in the Far East and eaten in all sorts of restaurants over there, Jitrada has always been and is still authentic; I say this in the knowledge that it is now run by non Thai owners. I've been twice in the last three weeks and it was brilliant.

Poor food, slow service. When I go out for a meal albeit an 'early diner' at a not so cheap £12 for 2 courses I expect for better quality in both service and food quality. I ordered chicken kebab for my main course. This consisted of a salad (ok) poorly cooked and presented rice and 5 pieces of chicken not on a skewer with a piece oe a pepper which had adhered to the chicken, was this one of yesterdays salvaged meals. I would have gone to town on them but I was in company and did not want to upset one of my guests who was in quite a fragile state. Instead I have chosen to write this review. Incidentally they were short staffed because people had come in without booking. My recommendation is not to go with or without a booking.

Literally the BEST Indian food I have ever eaten. Everything is made fresh and the chef comes to your table and asks about your preferences so he can cater the dish to your liking. Fantastic!

22nd May 2010 - I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. We had 21 people (including children) for a 60th Birthday party. Booked in advance and when we arrived we had a lovely seating area set out, air-conditioned as it was a sunny day, enough walking room for everybody. We were attended to by Matt who came and introduced himself and he didn't get any orders incorrect. All the food was served with little fuss, piping hot and enough breathing room between courses. We have been to this restaurant before (food and service has always been good) and from this many more people who I know will be going. Everybody commented on how they really appreciated the service - 5*'s from my family and I

I've been going to Deckers in Sale for a long time and never had a problem or sent food back. Today for the first time I called our waitress over and nicely explained that the rare rump steak I ordered was overcooked and not rare. She took it back and before I knew it the Manager was over with the plate shoving his fingers at the steak shouting 'how much more rarer can you get it' Absolutely appalling behaviour, telling me it was rare then the lighting wasn't good enough to tell where I was sat and then decided it was a medium rare I wanted if I wanted the plate swimming with blood. Well no they'd given me a medium with no blood at all. Apart from draw attention to me he spoilt my meal, spoilt my mood and spoke to me like I was piece of rubbish and a complete idiot. As a result I'll never set foot in the place again. Not the best way to treat customers and as I was so appalled I put a full complaint in to the owners. Perhaps they could send him to lessons to teach him some manners. I don't know how I stayed so calm.

Hey there, I've been ordering from Sorento Pizzeria (In Ashton Village) for a while now. I have to say, it is an incredible takeaway! The service is friendly, the delivery time is almost always spot on and the food is the best fast food I've ever experienced. I would go as far to say that it is of restaurant quality, but delivered to your door. 10/10 for me!

At first I was impressed with Planet Spice. They were honest about delivery times (1hr!) and on first impression, the food was good. Unfortunately, there happened to be hair in the food. We binned all remaining food except the contaminated dish and complained to the management. At first we were pleased with the professionalism of the management who were happy to issue a refund upon us returning the food. The manager called again shortly after to inform us they would not issue a refund, but offered a replacement (why on Earth would we eat again from their kitchen?!). They assured us that on the outcome of relevant tests, they would issue a refund on only the contaminated dish. We refused and will be taking this up with the relevant department at the Council. What a waste of £15. Don't order!

Unfortunatly last night's meal for my mother's 70th birthday was a logistical disaster (Saturday 21 Feb 2009 @ 8pm. upstairs). The greeting by the Owner (Manager?) at the front door, preceded by another ladies family, (Joyce? and also there for a birthday party) was an initial good sign of a good night to come, such as we have experienced here in the past, hence our choice for Mum's 70th) but from arriving upstairs , things became progressivley worse, made all the more obvious by the Owner/Managers whole hearted devotion to the other party and diners in the upstairs restaurant.No- one bothered to show us to our table for 6, We ordered 6 drinks prior to ordering, which were then promptly forgotten until reminded despite an apology, a decanter of water took 20 mins to arrive, soup was already slopped into bowls, before a tureen arrived, duck was already shredded, whilst the other party had theirs done in a very demonstrative style, further drinks took forever to arrive.... and on and on. The final insult being the lack of serving of coffee whilst other people nearby were vastly entertained by the fella in charge with countless drinks/coffee/water and ultimately flaming zambukas, whilst we were ignored even coffee After 20 mins of this with taxi's due , we paid the bill and left, feeling extremely dissatisfied and unhappy. What should have been, and was anticipated, as a really good time was ruined by the utter indifference of the senior staff,. The Chinese waitress tried her best and apologised, but the young, inexperienced girl behind the upstairs bar was given no help, despite obviously struggling to cope with the demand and also at the beck and call of her boss. who seemed to be calling all the shots. Our parting glances were of him enjoying a pint of lager and a jolly good laugh with the rest of his customer/mates. We spent almost £180 and had a dismal experience and will never return. The place, despite it's evident popularity(or perhaps because of it) has become too complacent and lacks the urgency and vibrancy of a really good restaurant (ladies had no soap, gents loo mucky, chipped paintwork etc
