Delicious food and lively atmosphere make The Lookout a special place. Will definitely look forward to going again soon. Only slight criticism is that drinks order should be taken sooner.

After reading an article about a dine and dash incident I decided to have a look at the menu. I've been meaning to take my mum out for lunch for ages and the rarity of being able to order a whole lobster in a seaside town is astounding. We weren't disappointed, the food was lovely as was the staff and we very much look forward to coming back.

As always, we were welcomed, cared for and thoroughly nourished. This is an excellent establishment!

Decided to book here after reading a BBC News story about "dine and dash", so it was purely off the back of a chance story. I have to say I'd be dashing back to dine again and again it was that good. We had the special seafood sharer topped with a garlic lobster and were utterly delighted by our meal. In the event we make it back to Scarborough at some future date we'll be booking again. Every meal we saw emerge from the kitchen looked and smelled fantastic. We loved it!

3rd visit and didn’t disappoint. Absolutely beautiful food, tasty, fresh, staff excellent, friendly and a lovely atmosphere within the restaurant . I requested a window seat as we were celebrating a birthday, nothing to much trouble. Shall definitely return again and again. Just wish we lived closer!

Excellent meal as usual The plate of mussels seemed smaller than previously Plus think some work could be done on the red wine offering. A beaujolais and a cabernet franc (Loire for preference) for example.

Perfect food especially the Chowder, full of fish and so tasty would highly recommend

Lookout never disappoints. We travel 50 miles quite regularly to eat here. Usually have to book yo make sure we can get in! We are not seafood lovers to be honest but when we see the plates of seafood they look anazing. We have the ’land’ based items which are equally good. Breakfast is great too if you’re there before 11.30

Enjoyed great fish & chips in this lovely restaurant with a nice harbour view. Crispy batter & freshly cooked fish good value too it included tea or coffee & bread & butter for £18. Lovely staff & really quick service we will definitely be back next time in Scarborough.

Fabulous food, especially the fish chowder, which is superb. Great location and value.

We absolutely love our frequent visits here. We really love the high quality breakfasts and pots of tea...especially after our sea swims! Often take our visiting friends and family here as a treat. Very friendly staff and a fabulous atmosphere.

A lovely place to eat, whether a quick breakfast or dinner. Great service, happy, smiley staff and lovely food. It's also great when we can just say "The usual please!" Love it!
