Having visited the Ship Inn before a few times, including once with today's guest, we found the food to be very good again, but she was very disappointed with her pasta dish. The waitress passed this on to the chef who came to speak to us and was initially very challenging, then verbally quite aggressive, ultimately suggesting we should not come back again. We won't, but though the food is generally very good, don't risk complaining!

This truly is a a gem of a restaurant with amazing food served by friendly, polite and helpful staff. The Mexican food here is second to none and the portions are huge. This has become our favourite local restaurant and well worth the short journey . Also love sitting in the picturesque beer garden until the sun goes down!

FIRST VISIT (DINNER) I WAS HIGHLY IMPRESSED BY THE AMBIANCE, GOOD FOOD AND FRIENDLY STAFF ALTHOUGH THE SERVICE WAS SLOW I THOUGHT BECAUSE IT WAS BUSY. SECOND VISIT (LUNCH) HOWEVER HAS PUT ME OFF COMPLETELY. TWO AND A HALF HOURS FOR LUNCH IS WAY TO LONG. SEVERAL PEOPLE WALKED OUT BECAUSE NOBODY WAS ATTENDING THEM. IT WOULD BE HELPFUL IF THERE IS NOBODY TO GREET YOU - TO AT LEAST HAVE A SIGN SAYING WAIT TO BE SEATED ETC. PEOPLE ARE CONFUSED WHEN THEY COME IN. NOT GOOD ENOUGH, ALTHOUGH THE FOOD IS GOOD IT IS FAR TOO SLOW AND THE CARRY ON WITH THE BANK CARD MACHINE WHEN PAYING IS RIDICULOUS. IF IT DOESNT WORK IN THE DINING ROOM -- ALLOW PEOLE TO PAY AT THE BAR. AFTERALL YOUR BANK CARD IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE OUT OF YOUR SIGHT WHEN PAYING, DISAPPOINTEDLY YOURS CATHERINE SPINKS
The Dining Room – FifeNot one of the previous reviewers i would guess have ever tasted authentic Mexican food , this is your bog standard old el paso mexican food bland and boring! nicely decorated place with an okay atmosphere but Mexican food it is not!

Rocca Bar & Grill @ Rusacks – FifeThe best chippy in Britain supposedly. I can't argue with that either. We all had a great lunch of lightly battered haddock. Ice cream was popular too.
Anstruther Fish Bar – FifeWe were very impressed indeed with this restaurant. We booked during the Open week and were seated promptly. A complimentary glass of margarita soon followed. The whole table agreed that it was the best they had ever had in this country. The service was very friendly and professional from the young female waiting staff who had clearly been trained (it amazes me that many restaurants don't do this) Our mains were very authentic. I had a beef chili that was with chunks of beef not mince and the freshest and softest tortillas I have tasted. The price was also very reasonable. We would all strongly recommend this place to anyone
The Grill House Restaurant – FifeFantastic country pub with two of the best and most welcoming owners you could meet. Gets very busy but it's worth the wait.
Kinneuchar Inn – FifeGreat food, fantastic atmosphere and excellent service. accommodated all our dietary needs and i was able to get my chili extra hot. All in all a great night out.
