Great place. Owner very kind to me when I was suffering from cycling and extreme weather fatigue on Saturday 7/6/15. Thanks a billion. Good luck for the future.

Great coffee, wheel chair and family friendly. Disabled toilet. Has gluten free and dairy free options. Fab menu also!

The rudest customer service I have possibly experienced. The woman who answered the phone was sharp impatient and rude when asked if they delivered. she then handed the phone to a foreign man. When I asked the price of a pizza, who was just as impolite and rude so much so that I politely hung up on them...the last of my service for here.

Seriously old fashioned. Dining like this surely a thing of the past - the dining room is silent except for whispering at adjacent tables (but easy to hear if interested!). The three course meal is set and served exactly when the kitchen says so - not exactly either relaxed or exciting. However the food quality is of a standard to be expected from a named chef - but making a set meal, served when the chef decides (for six covers at an April weekend) is not exactly pressurised cooking. Final comment - don't expect the usual hotel breakfast (size etc) if staying overnight - the haddock and poached egg portion size was a joke!

Enjoy this amazingly good starters, main and sweets. You will not have any of the new style 2 mouth full meals as in lots of modern restaurants - here you will get MASSIVE loads of great quality food delivered by an extremely friendly member of staff and happy owners. We always travel from Alness with all our guests, -which have been many - and will be there at least once every two weeks. We can recommend this great place for you, your friends and relatives - ENJOY!!!!!!!!!!!! - We always do.

Happened upon the Balintore Hotel and decided to stay the night - lovely room overlooking the sea, friendly welcome and service and excellent dinner - I can particularly recommend the fish pie! Good value for money as well (B&B for 2 - 60 pounds); I'd definitely come back again.

Ate here the other night and took some friends with us. The choice of starters was excellent and although the menu was only on one page there was at least eight mains to choose from. One of our group was veggie and she had three quite unusual mains to pick from. The stuffed chicken and sea bass dishes were brilliant but the real star was the sticky toffee pudding which was one of the very best I have tasted. Apparently the woman cooking got the recipe from an old lady in Banff but it beat any I have tried in Glasgow or Edinburgh by miles. Also saw their valentines menu which looked quite special but was not able to come back for that. They say they source as much ingredients locally and even had the names of some of the suppliers on the menu which I thought was good.
