Nice pub with lovely grub!
The Sportsman – SheffieldExcellent food and quality service. A must for the concerning diner!
Ka-China – SheffieldBest Italian in town by a mile.
Marinellos – SheffieldLovely food, friendly and helpful young staff, give it a go you won't be disappointed
Old Horns Inn – SheffieldPlease avoid this establishment like the plague. The food is very poor, totally inedible and caters for mainly Families that think a night out, is a visit to KFC. It's overpriced, has a poor decor and carries a number of staff, that would suit the interior of a greasy cafe. Still feeling ill after eating there in the last couple of hours - NEVER AGAIN !!!!
Meadow Farm – SheffieldThis has to be the best restaurant around at the moment. the setting, the food, the staff are all fantastic, have been a few times in the last year and am going again in a couple of weeks which i am so looking forward to, it maybe slightly pricey but worth paying!!
White Hart – SheffieldA lively family run Italian restaurant with a varied menu. Look out for the 'specials' for that little extra something in culinary terms. The fact that you can bring your own wine (for a small corkage) is an added bonus in these hard times. Try to leave a little space for sweet--these are delicious. A busy restaurant as a result, but with lots of satisfied customers.........
Kitos Restaurant – Sheffieldwent to the crown and cushion on a Friday night. it was very busy but the service was good and the food was fantastic. i had the cod from the menu with homemade chips and could have eaten it all over again. the rest of our party was completely satisfied and we would all go back again. the chef is called Gary and he has written a fine menu and also has a specials board. the sweets are all homemade and truly scrumptious and everything is very reasonably priced.
Crown and Cushion – SheffieldThe food was very fresh and tasty, one of the best restaurants i have been to in a long time. I will definitely be coming again.
Almas Indian Brasserie – SheffieldThis is an excellent restaurant! The food is the best we have ever had and the service is second to none. The new decor is very modern and relaxing. The staff are very attentive but not intrusive which is great.I would recommend this brasserie to anybody.
Almas Indian Brasserie – SheffieldSuperb food with relaxing surroundings. Staff are friendly and professional. Excellent all round and not too expensive.
Venus Restaurant – SheffieldThis is the second time I've been here and both times it was poor value for money given the paltry quantities of the main course. I had such a bad experience on the first visit I actually asked the staff to confirm that my choice would be an ample portion yet still I got anything but. My neighbour in our group ordered a meat and potato pie and between us we could barely spot a single piece of meat amongst the ubiquitous potato. Definitely a place to avoid: go to The Strines instead -- much larger portions of both the dish and accompanying vegetables. My experience is that pub restaurants generally are going downhill, with most experiences disappointing.
Wagon and Horses – Sheffieldbeen there, done that and i would recommend it every time. blooming marvelous (and i'm fussy)....
7 Spices – Sheffieldprobably the BEST food north of sheffield, fresh, tasty and well presented. staff very polite n helpful too. Well worth the visit you won't want to go anywhere else. Excellent value too
Taste of India – SheffieldQuite simply, the best tasting food in Sheffield!
Wasabisabi – SheffieldGreenhead House, simply the best for food, wine and service.we have gone here ever since it opened and no other restaurant can match it for quality of food, consistently excellent year on year from day one, and service has never dropped below its high standard.
Greenhead House Restaurant – SheffieldThe Castle Inn is under new management. About a year ago the current managers took over and are working hard to build up a reputation for good beer and food. The Castle is a cosy place with friendly staff, a colourful and welcoming bunch of locals and an ever increasing number of visitors, like myself. The restaurant offers a choice of foods to suit most pallets. Sitting in the rustic restaurant or eating at a table in the lounge one is impressed by the food turned out from the kitchen. Well cooked, wholesome and, unless you want a "pensioners" there are no small portions. Sunday lunchtimes is carvery time. Delicious roasts are there to be carved up and ladled onto your plate. All in all, the Castle is a good, rustic friendly place to eat or drink spoilt only by the gambling machine in the lounge. It should be moved into the "tap room", or better still, thrown out altogether. The disturbance is however minimal and it should not detract from your enjoyment unless you, like me, cannot abide these machines.
Castle Inn – SheffieldI have concerns about the cleanliness of this pub
