Excellent food and service. Cosy pub that welcomes walkers and dogs. They even have dog biscuits free for dogs! Guinea pig night highly recommended one Monday each month.

After four visits to this establishment I feel qualified to comment on the food, staff and service. All are very good an It has become one of our favourite places.

Your always met with a friendly welcome and combined with a very high standard of food and service this is the ideal place for a good night out or a special occasion. I have eaten here on several occasions and thoroughly enjoyed myself, they even made chips for my husband even though they were not on the menu!

the food both lunchtime &evening are well worth a visit I have even tried breakfast & is as good as anywhere you may care to mention they have an excellent choice of ales timothy Taylors is my favourite don? be put off by the pubs exterior inside is warm & cosy also friendly &a small but nice eating area at the rear. My wife & i travel from Leeds just to sample the lasagne if you fancy an overnight stay they have a few rooms to let . . mr&mrs yates. [leeds]

Well worth the trip and the price - certainly not cheap but you really get what you pay for and more. Excellent service from a team who really enjoy what they go. I'd recommend a staying over, the rooms are excellent and the breakfast is even great. We stayed just the one night but felt like we'd been away for a fortnight.

The food was excellent well worth it to go and dine there if you are a foodie but very pricey!!!
