Naz Restaurant & Takeaway – Leekon visiting the dyers since the re-furb,i was not disappointed...the food continues to be good value for money,no increase apart from a 30p charge on Sunday lunches which is nothing for good quality meat 3 fresh veg pots/roast trimmings and gravy you would like to dip up with a slice of bread! As the gentleman previously said...a warm welcome whether you are a regular or not and friendly/polite staff...a real home from home place.....trade seems to have increased so be prepared for a little wait, but it is worth the wait....we love it...give it a try...there is a blackboard which says...if we please you tell others,if we don't please tell us...well you can't get any fairer than that,we have never had a bad meal so ,here i am hopefully telling others...give it a try!
The Dyers Arms – LeekAround 10 years since i was in leek & the Dyers back then was renowned for its Bass.On visiting a relative i was saddened to hear that the landlord from those days had moved on to another pub a few years ago but still decided to call in to see if the Bass was still as good. I was pleasantly surprised on talking to the current landlord to learn that he infact was the stepson of the landlord from when i used to frequent the pub years before, and the sure enough the Bass was every bit as good as it was years ago,if not better! The pub was busy & had recently had a refurbishment to its dining area, people of varied ages were in the bar area(all seemingly drinking Bass!!!) & all seemed to know each other giving the Dyers a real welcoming feel. The Landlord & his staff were most welcoming & friendly sharing a laugh & a joke with me as if i was one of the regulars. The next time I'm back in leek i will be sure to return to the Dyers & enjoy a pint of Bass that must be amongst the finest around!
The Dyers Arms – Leeklooks pretty grotty from the outside...is dated inside, but clean...food is excellent value for money, good home cooking,2 main meals for £8,from a varied choice..including vegetarian, and also a 2 course menu available at lunch time for £5..don't let the cheap prices of this place put you off...it takes some beating...value for money! A re-furb is due this next couple of weeks...so trade should improve...also likeable hosts!
The Dyers Arms – LeekFood was okay, price okay, service okay...... would I go back??? Not until I have tried some of the others... there is nothing here dragging me back unfortunately
Pabna Tandoori – LeekHaving taken a slight detour going from our Daughters in Manchester to South Wales, we stopped at this watering hole on top of the peaks in thick fog. To walk through the door and be greeted by a real fire and friendly landlord was the start of the pleasure. Being a pig I ordered the mixed grill and my wife the sausage and eggs. They did state it may take time and it did but the wait was worth it. What really made it for us was a thing that we find hard to find in our area but sets it off, REAL CHIPS!!!! Maybe we will take the long way home again. Thanks again and good luck. Evan Williams
