This is Luciano's sister restaurant. It has a very similar menu indeed and the food is just as fantastic. Where Angelo's differs is the location, building, decor and modernness. Although brill, Luciano's doesn't have the best location above a club and it's decor is very dated. Angelo's is the up to date classy version for all Luciano lovers. I would highly recommend this great eatery.

hi, the shagorika is owned by my dad, and i just wanted to say that this place is obviously well known and well afforable, its got a range of delicious cuisines to offer and a group full of kind, gentle and hard working employess, this restaurant is something special, its one of the best on the seafront, in decoration wise and quality wise.

Love this restaurant. I can't speak highly enough. Everyone is so welcoming. The atmosphere is vibrant and as you walk in you know you're going to have a good time. The staff are always more than happy to help you celebrate any special occasion. Great for big parties and small. More of these restaurant's please!

I FOUND THE PUB ....HOTEL ? NOT TOO CLEAN AND THE PUBLICAN VERY INHOSPITABLE. HIS INTERPERSONAL SKILLS WERE NON-EXISTENT...OVERALL A VERY POOR EXPERIENCE.

Shipwrights Hotel and Riverside Pub – Sunderland

The restaurant itself is quite small and can be a little noisy at times, however not enough to keep me away. The food is fantastic and I've been many times with my partner, my friends and have even taken work colleagues. The waiters are very friendly and the service is fairly quick, even when they are busy. The food and wine is not too expensive, which is always a bonus!

The lunchtime specials are second to none...for a £6 3 course set menu that is not too limited you really cant go wrong...the staff are really efficient and friendly and the service is very fast..perfect everytime

the golden lion in south hylton sunderland is a lovely place, it has recently been taken over by a very charming family. The friendliness of the staff is felt as soon as you walk in the door, they are polite and friendly, nice atmosphere, and the food is very good, especially the carvery on a sunday. there is live music on on a Saturday night and a quiz on a Sunday, a lovely place for every one to visit, and situated on the river side a nice walk can be taken weather permitting, well worth a visit.

The best Indian restaurant in Sunderland by far, we have tried them all and always say nice but not as good as midnight moon

The restaurant itself is lovely decorated, not noisy or too big, situated on the seafront. The food is, in mine and my family's view, delicious and we have infact returned a number of times. The waiters are generally good although when busy it takes slightly longer to get served than usual but not to a degree that it would bother you. Overall, a lovely restaurant with nice food and modestly priced

Curry Addict

In my opinion the best Indian restaurant in Sunderland. There are several other exceptional ones (I would say Motiraj, Pritiraj and Mumbai) but overall this is my favourite. Very high standard of food and service, draught Kingfisher and a decent price. Cant praise this place enough, well recommended.

An all in all average Indian restaurant, food was decent enough yet had nothing to make you want to be sure of a return visit.

Shagorika – Sunderland

Atmosphere is very friendly and the live music is brilliant - offering a range of styles and performances from professionals?as well as locals. Excellent entertainment Presently they are not providing a food service.

Very friendly hosts at the Albion, always made to feel welcome whether you?e there for Sunday lunch or a sociable night out.

The Albion Inn – Sunderland

The Blue Bell is one of the oldest pubs in Sunderland, and tradition is key to the feeling of this public house. There is a bar room with music, big screens for sports and news and 2 pool tables for people to enjoy their drinks and food. The lounge is the biggest room with again many screens and tables to enjoy the reasonably priced food. The owner has kept the prices at a higher scale but the drinks are very enjoyable and the atmosphere on weekends is always great with a mixture of people contributing to a great night at this pub
