i had never been to the Globe Inn before and was passing one day on work and seen it. looked like a nice pub and saw that the car park was full. i parked up on the road and went in to see how the place was so full, thinking there would be a birthday or special even, i asked this young barman was there a special occasion and he replied, "no sir, this is just a normal day, would you like to book a table?". This really surprised me that people had booked on a Thursday afternoon just to have food and got me thinking that the food must be good. i asked the barman when i could have a table, he told me that it wasn? really that busy on a Tuesday morning or evening, so i booked for me and my wife to have a meal on the following Tuesday night. the night came, our table was booked at 8, we were there for 7:30. funny enough the same young barman was there and he had remembered who i was and what time we were eating, he offered us to stay in the bar for a drink first, the atmosphere was lovely, very calm and very cosy, the pint was perfect and not to expensive, a modest £2.25. He called us through to the lounge for food, the tables were all laid up, my wife was very impressed and she said "I hope I don? ruin these nice table cloths" (typical of her) to cut a long story short, we had a main course and desert, the amount of food was perfect with a plate full and the desert was to die for. The meal came to under £40 with a bottle of wine, needless to say we have been going once a week since

Located next to a roundabout in the Swansea Enterprise Zone, this is not the most inviting of restaurants. Set down a treelined grassy bank from the road, the entrance is down a flight of steps and tucked away on the far side of the building, whilst once inside, the overall ambience is one of a slightly down-at-heel Little Chef. That said, there are a reasonable selection of beers and wines available whilst the food is both cheap and plentiful if not exactly served with a smile. Overall, a handy bolthole for any guests trying to avoid the overpriced restaurant at the nearby Ramada Jarvis Hotel on Phoenix Way.

we went for a family meal. the service was really friendly and the food was as good as home cooking. Really fresh fish, perfectly cooked, served with a good selection of fresh vegetables.

Called in on a Tuesday night & had a nice treat! The food was not your average Indian Curry house but presented almost as nouvelle cuisine. The staff were very helpful in aiding choice when asked, prompt & polite with it. We took our time & were never hurried at any point of the evening. Will go again!

I would definitely recommend this restaurant and class it as one of the nicest places to eat in the whole of Swansea with the added bonus of it being totally reasonable price wise. They have an excellent selection of wine as well as a great variety of tasty sounding mains to choose from. To my delight, they also had a large desert selection including fresh cakes and tarts. The place itself is very cosy and smart without being too posh and intimidating-theres french music playing in the background ever so softly to undermine the overall atmosphere. The waiting staff appears to be very friendly and attentive while not being too pushy at the same time.

The Indian cottage is a small but pleasing restaurant. The decor is modern, clean and done nicely. I thought The food was of a higher quality than the other restaurants or take aways in the area. When the bill came i was happy to see that it was only slightly more expensive than the average take-away prices for the area. The only negative is how small it is. But this shouldn't detract from how good the food is. I highly recommend the Indian Cottage for a great Indian meal with friends.

An exciting new menu with plenty of choice to suit most people, I had the lamb shank which was excellent. The Buck is under new management which I feel has brought on good change for the Buck. I will definitely be returning again.

This Indian restaurant is amazing. Easily one of the best in Cardiff. The service is brilliant & the food, out of this world! I highly recommend it!!!

All in all a very nice average priced restaurant, who also deliver and have special offer nights, a 2 course meal for a cheap price

a fantastic pub hidden away in the gower a good range of beers and very tasty food

The PenyCae Inn has be refurnished to a great standard and is well worth a visit. The wood work throughout the inn is fabulous. A place to go for a special night out. The lunchtime menu is very nice and the surrounding area is beautiful.

My fiancé and I went to the buck inn after we heard that it had new ownership. It has always been renowned for its Sunday carvery which we used to be regulars to! Until we went one evening and tried there restaurant menu! The selection of food was fantastic! The service was spot on and the price was very fair! The new owners were very welcoming and we will definitely be returning again!

The Abercrave Inn demonstrates the best combination of Amazing Food and Outstanding Service I have seen anywhere in the UK. You are always greeted with a warm friendly atmosphere and a smile, which is not always common these days. The Food is out of this world and the Menu is very well put together. Also they offer a lunchtime special which has a variety of dishes available at very good prices. Don't dismiss this place, you can't afford to miss out on some of the best food you will ever taste. My Recommendation - Starter - Pan Fried calves liver on a potato Rosti. Main Course - Oyster of lamb with Mint Gravy. Desert - Any of them, they are amazing !

We really enjoyed our meals at the Abercrave Inn. It is a cosy country pub with excellent food and wine menus.
