Elephants Nest Inn – TavistockThe setting of this hotel, in grade one listed gardens, with the tamar flowing below, is simply stunning. We had lunch on the terrace. Not another building in site. Some people were playing croquet on the lawn. The food was delicious, it did cost £29 for three courses. A top room here cost £400. So I think restaurant is subsidised by the rooms. It was just wonderful.
Hotel Endsleigh – Tavistockfantastic service from the young man sat at the door. i enjoy getting takeaways
Birds Nest Chinese Restaurant – TavistockWe had dinner there last August 05. The food was absolutely gorgeous, very well presented. Yummy puddings! The service is a bit slow, prices = expensive. Consider it a treat - but the food was very nice!
Elephants Nest Inn – TavistockMe and the family go to Thariks every week for the past two years its a amazing place! food is wonderful the waiters are very friendly and helpful its the best Indian in tavey!! i recommend the Mix tikka special i never seen it in any other restaurant its a classic
Thariks Tandoori Restaurant – TavistockProbably one of the best traditional Chinese restaurants I've been to for a long time. Hopefully business will bring me back to Tavistock shortly for another excellent meal @ The Birds Nest
Birds Nest Chinese Restaurant – TavistockThis flock-wallpaper delight makes me salivate at the very thought of going there. Service can take a while, because they cook it from scratch, so it's worth the wait. Nice variety of slightly more unusual North Indian dishes, served by very very nice blokes!
Ganges Restaurant The – TavistockNot a cheap restaurant - budget at least 50 quid a head, and be prepared to be wowed. We felt is was more than worth what we paid. Starting with delicately tempting canapes served in front of a real fire, the meal just got better and better. The restaurant has an awesome view down the Tamar valley, the service was attentive but not intrusive, and the food was very possibly the best meal I've ever had. Save up, then go and enjpy it!
Horn Of Plenty – TavistockGreat waitresses, great food, fantastic homemade cakes.
East Gate Cafe and Brasserie The – TavistockA very friendly chinese restaurant, that serves excellent food and has a great ambience. Well worth a visit; we'll certainly be going back for more!
