Terrific fish and chips - you won't find fresher fish, lighter batter or such perfectly cooked chips anywhere else and as for the mushy peas, just the tastiest ever. Friendly welcome, great service and a top cuppa, can't get a better lunch than at Thornton Fisheries. We'll be back!

4 of us dined hear on Friday night and ordered 4 seperate currys' - chicken Karahi, chicken lahori, chicken madras and chicken salone. All meals tasted exactly the same, except for the extra chilli powder in the Salone. How do you explain that one??!!!! Plus the Tarka Dall was very poor, full of chilli's and reheated!!!!! Anyway you don't need to be a rocket scientist, to guess that we won't be eating here again!

Went to this place with family. The interior is very dated . Staff are pleasant. Food shocking. My main dish arrived burnt . When this was brought to the attention of staff they simply replied "I shall tell the chef" I will never eat there again. Food is shocking!!!

Not been here for years, what a very pleasant surprise. We will definitely be coming again. Excellent service, very welcoming and friendly without being intrusive, lovely sense of humour and good fun We had the £10 special (with extras, garlic bread like it should be! Good sized portions, the cannelloni is the best I've ever had. Obviously lots of regular customers, what more can one wish for. Superb Italian food cooked to perfection thank you Mimos! Please change those horrible overhead lights, you promised ! Xx

I regularly visit The Venue and I find it the best place to eat in Cleveleys, the food is superb topped off with fantastic service, I regularly visit on a Tuesday and occasionally at weekends and have never been let down! The steak pie is the best I have ever tasted whoever made that recipie should be famous! I just wish after a meal I could move I'm always that full and then they ask would you like dessert, I wish!!!! The service is top quality and I must thank all the waiters and waitresses you do a top quality job you always have time for a chat, a joke and you make us feel comfortable! The views are second to none you can sit in the window and look out to sea, and the whole place is modern with a friendly deminer. I must add my thanks again to all the staff, especially the Chefs and waitresses! Oh and Paul who always brings a smile to my face on a Tuesday lunch time, And his young assistant Tim who always gets me one of those lovely window tables! THANKS GUYS & GIRLS!!!!!

had fish and chips there today sunday 19th of august the worst meal we have ever had in the b/pool area in 30 years.the chips had no taste and the fish was dry and overcooked(burnt)and to top it off the staff got hoover out while we were eating very rude (will never go again)

We have eaten here 3 times over the last 6 years and on 2 occasions have found black hair in our food. This is a shame as the restaurant itself is very nice and the staff are friendly. The food itself is ok. My husband ordered a meat pizza which we were unsure if there was any meat on it the mushy red stuff looked more like tomatoes. I found a black hair in the calamari batter. Staff were very apologetic and gave us that course for free. We are unlikely to go back as the hairs in food has put us off.

Wow! What can I say. The Food was fantastic, the service excellent and the staff were so friendly. The Honey Roast Ham was the best I have ever tasted. I consider myself to be a very good cook and am often dissapointed with 'run of the mill' pub type grub. Taste is a proper home cooked Bistro offering plenty of freshly cooked food. Definately recommend.

the best cafe ever the food is excelent im 13 and i was very picky before going to taste now i try lots of new stuff there and i enjoy it thoroughly! definatly go there, good price and very warming staff!

We have just recently had are wedding reception at the Venue and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone. From the moment we went in to view the room to collecting our stuff after the party, Jackie and her staff were fantastic in every sense of the word. Everything ran beautifully well, we were inundated with comments from guests about how good the food was. Nothing was too much in preparation for wedding which helped set my wife's mind at ease on more than one occasion. We really can't thank every member of staff enough for helping make our wedding the success it was. Thank you all so very much, we are so grateful for all your fantastic work.

if you are looking for the best memories of your wedding reception for yourselves and your guests this is the place for you. Our wedding was amazing from start to finish thanks to Jackie and her professional happy staff. The room looked beautiful and the views of the beach added to the spectacular surroundings. The food was top restaurant quality.We have had so many guests telling us this and saying that it was the best wedding ever! what a compliment! The evening reception which was held in the spirit was brilliant, once again fabulous food and lovely staff.the surroundings are perfect for celebrations and the ambiance was just right. We cannot stress how perfect our day was thanks to the staff at The Venue. We give them 10 out of 10.
