Eaten at mumtaz and akbars and loads of restaurants such as Indian palace but bollywood is the best in 30 years of eating curries
Bollywood Lounge – WakefieldAte there last weekend. Standard of food & service A1 as usual. Brought in-laws who agree its the best Italian in the area. Seen request before for Crumble dessert which is now on menu, but please could we have a cheese board as most of the other desserts are a bit on the sweet side.
Bella Roma – WakefieldWent there on recommendation.to find that this pub grub was top restaurant quality. Result...back shortly for family celebration.
Kings Arms – WakefieldWent there on recommendation.to find that this pub grub was top restaurant quality. Result...back shortly for family celebration.
Kings Arms – WakefieldI regularly eat Sunday Lunch at the fox & hounds. Really good value for money. I hate eating plastic food and this is far from plastic! Its all homemade. Real Yorkshire puds , roast potatoes and lots of crackling! The atmosphere and service are lovely. We are always really well looked after. I wouldn't have any problem in recommending this restaurant!
Fox and Hounds – WakefieldA standard American franchise restaurant with an aim to serve you with a smile and quickly. Food is good quality and atmosphere fun but they do lack on the personal touch. It would be better if there was more smiling but overall a good evening for all
Frankie and Bennys – WakefieldWe called in here to check out possible places neat the Kirkless Light Railway for a larger party of people for a birthday lunch. We were delighted to have chosen this place, it's very homely, very child friendly (our 2 year old son loved the boat in the garden) and the food was fantastic. The food arrived in a reasonable time, especially considering it's all home made - no evidence of frozen-microwave fodder here. The meals were very tasty and the portions plentiful. How they can maintain such a large choice and home cook everything is anyone's guess, but credit to them they pull it off somehow. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this to anyone, it's a friendly pub, well cared for, excellent food. I would suggest you go to eat here rather than pop in for a drink, you won't be disappointed. Looking forward to our next visit for the Birthday lunch, safe in the knowledge that our family will love it too. Darren & Family - Leeds.
British Oak Inn – WakefieldI went to Sloanes for the first time in August for my wedding anniversary. I was very impressed. The service was great and the food was even better. I have recommended it to work and 25 of us are going for a meal in November.
Sloanes Restaurant – WakefieldWe visited Raj Poot, Wakefield 31/08/2010, instead of our usual Indian (Red chilli 2). It took 20 minutes to take our order. 40 minutes after finishing our starter you had still not removed our plates and we were still waiting for our main course. Around 10 takeaways came out of the kitchen, in the end we paid for what we had eaten and left. After being members of Highlife diners club we will not be recommending your restaurant to anyone.
Raj Poot India Restaurant – Wakefieldi love this restaurant and have been a good few times now. its a very friendly place with staff greeting you as you come in to shaking your hand when you leave. the food is superb at a very valuable price and extremely delicious. wide choice of menu catering for many. can not beat the quality of the staff or the food. Zak is an excellent manager and treats his staff and customers with excellent respect
Balti House – WakefieldDisappointing meal after a promising start with tasty and well presented poppadums and pickles. The lamb was tough and chewy and both curries lacked flavour and overwhelmingly peppery. Service mediocre atmosphere nil poins. Shame spice cottage was closed. 0 stars
Bollywood Lounge – Wakefieldfantastic authentic Italian restaurant serving pizza straight out of a Tuscan wood oven .the main courses are excellent and the salt baked seabass was out of this world ,would definitely recommend
Bar Biccari – WakefieldCracking little pub with great locals and welcoming staff and friendly owners.one of the nicest pints in wakefield
White Hart, The – WakefieldWe went to this restaurant for my birthday and I would go as far to stay this is the best Italian we have ever been to and will certainly be making a return visit. The staff were by far its best asset, attentive and friendly.
Rinaldis – WakefieldRed Chilli 2 is the best restaurant second to none. The staff are always courteous and polite You're always given a warm welcome. Tried others but now would never go anyway else. Food is absolutely superb. Love it!
Red Chilli II – WakefieldJust been to the Kaye Arms for a meal and was extremely disappointed, we had to wait ages for the waitress to come and take our order, then we did not realise that you did not get vegetables with your meal, I had lamb it cost nearly £18-00 and although it tasted nice I was starving, we were not made aware that you had to pay separate for vegetables, i asked for the bill 3 times and eventually had to go to the bar and ask again, it cost us £170-00 for 4 and we came home hungry, no value for money, I could have made the meal for less than £50-00 really disappointed with the service, waitress was miserable as sin. I think you ought to look at your prices and what you give think I had maybe 2 spoonfuls of mash under my lamb, we were not the only ones to be disappointed people were complaining in the car park too!
The Kaye Arms – Wakefieldwhere to begin! the waitresses at the restaurant were amazing, they kept a constant supply of drinks, and were very polite when bringing out the beautiful food. the food speaks for itself. i definitely will be going again soon.
Bella Roma – WakefieldI would not recommend this pub for food if i got payed to do so..What a consistent let down over many years..from a local over the road... Waste of money until they buck there ideas up...Sorry,truth hurts..I see censorship lives here too...what a shocker eh???
Bulls Head, The – Wakefield5 course meal, £44.99 (£34.99 for children). Drinks not included. Sittings at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm
