Orlandos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldThank goodness the rumours of "Bella Roma" being taken over by "Rustico" were unfounded. Was there Saturday night, meals as usual were excellent with service and atmosphere great. This place is the best in the area....Keep it up !!
Bella Roma – WakefieldRecently visited the Kaye arms after a recommendation from a work colleague to try it out. What he didn't say was how good the food was, I had the Scallops followed by a very nice Lobster Therador [ haven't seen that in years] while my wife had the french onion soup followed by the seabass on med veg, all very nicely presented and tasty. We didnt book but were attentively seen to and advised of a waiting time, only 15 mins on the night we were there and had a drink at the bar followed by a bottle off the massive wine list, at this point I asked for some guidance and was asked to try the wine before I bought it, !! thats never happened before. A Really nice meal served with professionalism and inclusion made a final bill a pleasure to pay. Would recommend it to anyone.
The Kaye Arms – Wakefield10/10 Had a meal on Sunday with the family and the food was lovely, service was great and its a cracking pub. Huge car park and colouring books for the kids so we could all enjoy our meal. Going again Friday tea time and cant wait.
Black Bull – WakefieldBeen visiting for over 20years still the finest Indian cuisine anywhere. Also eaten curry throughout the world, Tenerife, York, Manchester, Bradford, Lake district, Dublin, Bridlington, Sheffield, Scotland none compares! 10/10 everytime. Recommended Dishes...Chicken Tikka Pathia, Lamb Achari, Chicken Sag, Chicken shashlik, Mixed Kharai. Accompanied by the best garlic nan and mushroom rice. Washed down with the finest kept draught Carlsberg. We love you Ian,Vix family and friends
Raj Poot India Restaurant – WakefieldAs a person of half Italian origin, and half Sandal - but of Restaurant family origins -Rinaldi's has a 'pull'. I have been perhaps 3 times in 5 years as I live in the SouthEast. I feel the food is good, the service friendly, and the atmosphere vibrant. I was last there 13/04/08 with my mother (A sandal girl of some 82 years young). As she was married to a restaurateur (actually he started as Granelli's ice cream before it was bought out by Lumbs) then relocated to Wales where he opened his eateries. The family are bred on restaurants, and this is one I would recommend most highly! For a run down on our 'fare' check out the Cooking of Parma. Rinaldi's, it must be said, has it in abundance.
Rinaldis – WakefieldWe went to this pub for a bar meal in the week and it is placed in the most beautiful setting. Although waiting approx 30 mins for our starter, when it came we were nicely surprised it was very good and all fresh produce, unfortunately we had to wait a further 30 minutes for a main course which was not as successful as the starter. However, it is obvious the chef has a talent but more obvious a huge passion for food, I just hope he/she is able to turn it around and produce meals to the same standard as the starter and within sufficient time scales. Good luck!!
Kings Arms – WakefieldAte here last night, it was a bit of a disappointment. The starters were lovely (prawn cocktail and garlic mushrooms) however, the pizza was not fresh or home made and was definitely frozen. The pizza was a perfect round shape and had marking on the base. The tortilla was also bought in. This is not what I expected of an Italian and after reading other peoples reviews did not expect this. We will definitely not dine here again!
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – Wakefieldhave been a great fan since it opened many many years ago and went nearly every week. But beware - things have changed (probably to pay for the new signs and other bits n bats!!!) Fine if you want fancy pasta etc with wood pigeon??? No thanks. No more free bread when seated - 10% service charge added even for a table for 2. I could go on and on!! Also, my husband complained about blocked urinals - a waiter did go and mop up the leakage then came back to the restaurant area, placed the mop and bucket down and continued to serve with NO hand washing. 2 weeks later - the same situation - urinals not mended. Will not visit again
Rinaldis – Wakefieldexcellent place! very appealing menu's with plenty choice. Was equally impressed with all the food we received, The service staff we're very polite and attentive. Will be back soon. 10/10!!!
The Royal Oak – WakefieldI agree totally. The best curry I have ever had!!! the meat is perfectly cooked, the service very friendly, well priced and you can take your own booze!! A must for 'real' curry lovers!!!!! I have tried about 10 different dishes on this menu and have never been disappointed, but the Chicken Rogan Josh is a joy!

Black Bull – WakefieldDefinitely a place to visit. Exquisite cuisine, a miraculous improvement on the last time I visited there six months ago. Great choice and a nice atmosphere. I'd recommend everyone to go. Top marks in my estimation, great for families as I took my wife and 4 year old little girl but shall be returning for a business luncheon. Thankyou!!!
The Royal Oak – WakefieldIt seems the Royal Oak have got a new head chef, we were delighted by the specials' board, delightful and delicious home cooked food.
