What a little gem this one is. Since we first visited three weeks ago we cannot stop going back. Truly delicious Italian food, certainly the best I've had in a while. It will be interesting to see if other Italians in Wakefield raise the bar to compete. The lunchtime menu is a real bargain too - any pizza or pasta based dish is only £4.50. Could do with a more extensive wine list though

I am afraid that i can not agree with the other reviews. My partner and i went last night for the early bird special and our experience was not enjoyable. My partner asked the waiter what was served with the Parma Ham starter and the reply was 'what do you mean its Parma Ham and Melon' although when the starter arrived it was a platter of Fruits with Parma Ham - the waiters approach was not at all helpful. And to make matters worse the Melon was not even ripe. The Garlic Bread does not have any Tomato on as stated on the menu! Main Course was very bland and extremely greasy the Pasta dish was served with Broccoli and a Garlic Cream sauce and was not at all appetising. The 2 waiters did not at any point throughout the main course ask if we were happy/everything OK. On paying the bill the girl behind the bar asked if everything was OK we told her no all she said was sorry! I will not be recommending the Restaurant and certainly will not be returning.

Some thing has changed at Valentinos. The staff seem really happy and the food quality is excellent. I dined regularly at bibis but i now will dine at Valentinos. Perfect night out and value for money too. Well done

I Love this restaurant, The food is gorgeous and really good value for money. You get free crackers and sweet chilli sauce before your meal and a plate of fresh fruit after! Yum! I love the mini springrolls and the chicken green curry. They have a lot of choice for vegetarians here also.

I have been to Rinaldis many times & find the food (especially the carbonara and bolognaise although my sister swears by the lasagne) delicious. It is reasonably priced with a lovely busy bustly atmosphere (not somewhere perhaps for an intimate dinner) & has now been extended.

Fantastic pizzas, excellent value - service can sometimes be a little slow when they are v busy but overall a really good bet.

an enjoyable, tasty sunday afternoon meal was topped off with a bottle of Sancerre in a friendly, ambient revisitable pub....a family place...worth the shekels....

Beautiful food and very good service. The specials are to die for especially the lobster (or crab) in yellow curry. My husband's favourite restaurant by far!

The bay horse is very welcoming with a lively atmosphere. The staff are very friendly and efficient. I will definitely be returning there for another satisfying meal!!!

This is a very good Italian restaurant, the food and service are outstanding. So far this is the best Italian restaurant I have been to.

Still a regular and still loving it!

An oasis in the Wakefield desert serving top quality food with a smile. The atmosphere is very laid back and has no heirs or graces making it for a very relaxing place to be after work or post drinking session. The main reason I love the Raj is because the waiters and bar staff are very genuine and the place has an honest hard working atmosphere. My favourite local Indian.

I am happy to say that the spice cottage in Heckmondwike. West Yorkshire had the most outstanding service. We were greeted by fantastic staff. Atmosphere as great, very relaxing the food was fantastic!!!! Price was very reasonable. As we are aware there is s spice cottage in Wakefield, I wish I could of said the same for them but I can't. They need to be picking a few tips from the restaurant in Heckmondwike!!!! The manager in Heckmondwike spice cottage certainly knows how a restaurant should be operating.

Excellent Curry! The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The delivery service is prompt and reliable. Highly recommended, you will not be disappointed.

I have been to the Pagoda many times since it opened (I live nearby). I have celebrated special occasions (large party), or been for a quiet meal for two. I have yet to be disappointed.. the staff will bend over backwards to help; even mixing and matching the already varied menu. To be honest, the wine list isn't brilliant, but the 'house' choices are palatable. Go for the 'sizzlers'...my favourite! If you are a large party, ask them to mix and match, they will just recommend a feast or vary the menu. One downside....I went for Sunday lunch, once....didn't enjoy it! guess I'm more of a roast beef and Yorkshire person! I have no connection with this place other than that of a satisfied (and regular) customer.

One of the best restaurants to go to in Wakefield City centre, however it is a little pricey for what you get in the end. Lack of competition from other restaurants allows the prices of this one to stay high. It would be good to see more top class quality eating establishments in the city centre.
