Pagoda Cantonese Restaurant – WakefieldExcellent restaurant with a great welcome from Zak & the staff.
Balti House – WakefieldHad the weekday lunchtime special - carvery with a dessert for £5 - couldn? fault it - beef melted in my mouth and the home-made apple pie was a real treat - almost as good as my mothers!!!
Golden Lion Hotel – WakefieldWith out question the best night out in Wakefield for family or couples. The sauces and seafood are second to none, just behind Bibis in Leeds on the score chart
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldAs good as you will get its 1st class, no need to travel to Leeds
Rinaldis – WakefieldThe best food in Wakefield. Everything is cooked from fresh produce (and I understand it is the only restaurant in Wakefield that does) to a standard that you should be paying more than twice the price for. Nothing from the freezer to the fryer here. Good, friendly service and great beer.
The Three Houses Inn – WakefieldWent here just for a dinnertime snack - me and the wife had Giant Yorkshire puds & meat - I had lamb - she had beef - it was warm - nice meat stock gravy - and the meat (both the lamb and the beef was very tender and full of flavour indeed)- Also had a portion of chips - homemade - and very nice too ! - would recommend it !
British Oak Inn – WakefieldGood range of real ales compliment the bar food. Restaurant menu looked very inviting, however there is only so much one can eat at one sitting! Atmosphere of the bars was fantastic and it was good to see gas lamp lighting adding to the ambience.
Kings Arms – WakefieldA very nice restaurant, and lovely inside, i recommend this to anyone. The staff are really helpful and the food is gorgeous!
The Red Kite – WakefieldOne of three fine Italian Restaurants in Wakefield. The other two being Bella Roma and Rinaldis. Fab food, great atmosphere. Superb place just to wile away the evening with friends whilst enjoying the wine list!!! Keep it up!!
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldThe sauces are the best i have tasted. The best restaurant in Yorkshire!
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – Wakefieldafter visiting the restaurant numerous times i have always found it excellent value for money. the staff are great, food excellent and the atmosphere great. i would recommend it to anyone. they also make children very welcome.
Capri Horbury – WakefieldI think the Capri is the best restaurant I have ever been to the food is delicious and the service from the waiters is very good it is a very friendly sociable environment
Capri Horbury – WakefieldI am a frequent diner at this restaurant and I have never been disappointed. There is an excellent choice both in the menu and on the board. The service is welcoming, prompt and efficient. Each meal is cooked to order and brought to table by friendly, cheerful staff. The proprietors, Joyce and Colin are often in attendance. Recently redecorated and refurbished, the Bella Roma has given me value for money on every visit. Oh, and there is an intelligent wine list.
Bella Roma – Wakefielda little gem hidden away in wakefield. why dont they advertise more ?
Valentinos Italian Restaurant – WakefieldIf you consider a bag of nuts as food it is a great place to eat, or maybe pork scratching. Next time I visit the set I will let Dek know he is recommended for his great food. On a serious note it is great place to try traditional ale and sample good company.
Anglers Retreat – Wakefieldthe food was nice but far too much. the starter was almost like a main course no wonder the prices were pricey.
Rinaldis – WakefieldSo many Indian restaurants around but this is a good as they come. We've paid many visits and the food is a definite cut above - lots of dishes you won't find in the average Indian and huge portions. The staff are friendly and polite but can be a bit disorganised - the wrong dish might turn up,you may even think they've forgotten you but the food is fresh and always worth the wait. The decor is modern - refreshing in these parts - and the restaurant has a well kept feel about it. You'll need to book - it's always packed. Wakefield's restaurant of the year and deserves the title.
Red Chilli II – Wakefield5 course meal, £44.99 (£34.99 for children). Drinks not included. Sittings at 12pm, 2pm, 4pm
