Average food - nice staff. The staff are genuinly so friendly, but the food is way overpriced middle tier at most. Seekh kebabs are £8, chicken pakora £7, both bang average. Name change but the chef is obviously the same, don’t bother tbh.

What a great place ,,,went for my daughters birthday,food great,cooked beautifully,eat as much as you like,,service great ,staff are friendly and chatty,,place is clean and tidy ,,even floor manager is nice and helpful ,,had 2 plates of chicken ,,rice ,,vegetables etc. ice cream you pull from machine yourself ,,fun for kids ,,and it’s beautiful too,,,overall it’s great ,,will be back ,,,

Came to try on a Friday evening, very busy but good atmosphere. Drinks were a little slow but food was lovely. Our waitress was friendly, polite and smiley, beautiful young lady (poppy) nothing seemed like too much trouble for her Thank you will be back again

Our first time attending and it was lovely. The Madras was tasteful and the onion bhaji’s were something else! Service was quick and very polite. It felt very authentic compared to some Indian restaurants around the area. 100% would recommend

Very friendly welcoming staff we visited with friends. Great choice on menu of food and wines. Food quality was excellent and we tried the dosa which were lovely little thin pancakes with savoury fillings. Would highly recommend thus restaurant.

Fantastic meal at Tanvis, the food was delicious and we tried the new dosas which were amazing and great for sharing. The staff are also lovely and so helpful. Can’t recommend highly enough.

Lovely evening with my family. Excellent food as always. Slight hiccup with a mix up of dishes but soon rectified. Still definitely our favourite restaurant. Fantastic.

Just been to your York buffet and can’t praise it enough. We paid £25 for the lunch time buffet as it is may bank holiday. The staff and food are excellent clean restaurant with every thing you need and value for money. Can’t wait to try the Wakefield one when it opens

I’ve visited Tanvis a few times with my partner and then last night for my hen do as well. Even with a group of 11 of us the service was still spot on, the food came in good time and tasted great. Everyone really enjoyed what they ordered and said how great the service was!

First visit since the new name above the door, the menu was simplified which made choosing easier and the dishes we had were excellent and pricing was good value. No hesitation to go back soon.

Excellent food and service

Took a couple of visitors who had come up from Devon for an Indian meal to Tanvi's . They were most impressed. As soon as they walked through the door, they were greeted and made to feel welcome. The service was excellent, the menu offered a wide variety of dishes all very tasty. We had an excellent evening out. I being local will definitely return.
