Mak Syed always delivers a great curry, tasty, great range of dishes, well priced and the staff are always very attentive. For a local curry restaurant, you can't go far wrong. Highly recommended

Mezze offers authentic Turkish cuisine in a very friendly environment and is great value. All in all, you can't say better than that. All the food was very fresh, generous portion sizes and very very tasty. Highly recommended and my Turkish brother in law approved too !

Lovely restaurant, always good quality food and value for money. They do a great offer daily,between 5 and 10pm, £7.95 for 3 courses plus poppadoms, very good value for money

We visit the Derby Pool about once a month, normally during the daytime. Last visited on 19th. September 2008 and the food was excellent along with the service. I would highly recommend it for pub food with a difference, and the price is right too, especially if you eat before 6.30 p.m. You can help yourself to the excellent salad bar if you order a meal. It's a lovely venue to eat at before or after a walk or cycle ride along the track from New Brighton to Meols. Well worth a visit.

This place is great, the food is really tasty, the staff work really hard & are very attentive. The food is just fabulous, freshly made on the premises & after having the vegetarian banquet, i had no space for pudding or even breakfast the following day! It really feels like I'm on holiday when dining at this restaurant, it's a relaxed and fun atmosphere, with a great mix of customers who all seem to delight in their meal. Top stuff, give it a try!

I can only say good things about the Derby Pool. The salad bar is fabulous and topped up regularly, the food is well presented and tastes fine and the desserts are to die for. The staff are always very pleasant and helpful, so much so we now go at least once a week.

My most visited indian Restaurant,I am a chef and a very fussy eater, i try and visit this restaurant at least once a month.Food is always fresh and tasty and service is impeccable and friendly.a wide selection of dishes and chef recommendations, All the classics and some specials make me return time and time again.I have never eaten in one restaurant so many times (about 30), even the best restaurants ive been to (or worked in ) i have never returned more than twice, always finding fault with something.I highly recommend this restaurantfor quality originality and price.they even do an early evening special during the week 3 courses and a side for under a tenner.

My husband moved to Wallasey from Istanbul 2 years ago, and Mezze is a welcome taste of home for him. The food is authentically Turkish, but with more variety than most UK Turkish restaurants. Some really lovely dishes - I recommend the Sultan Chicken. The atmosphere is understated, so even if you have never been to Turkey you won't feel out of place. The music is unobtrusive, prices reasonable, and Tayfun and Lesley are excellent hosts. A definite recommendation from my Turkish hubby and I !!

Mezze is a friendly and pleasant little place, good staff and ambience. The food is fresh, tasty and authentic, very much reminding us of the last time we were in Turkey. It tastes clean of the usual rubbish (too much salt, msg, etc)and we had no unpleasant after effects!. This has all been true every time we have gone.

The food and presentation was excellent, no complaints only praise for the restaurant! Great customer service we will be coming back on many more occasions.

I arrived at 6pm with a group of 5 adults and 3 children, they wanted to put us on two tables separated. It was against there policy to put two tables together! asked to speak to duty manager, he couldn't be found. Finally just moved everyone to corner table and squashed in off my own bat. Staff nice, food on the little side (but then I'm a pig)prices excellent especially if you go before 6.30 pm for 1/3 off.

Eaten here a few times - had a few drinks with the owner - very pleasant - close to home and in summer walking back is fun. Once swapped a tray of beans for a bottle of wine! Noise from the function room can spoil the restaurant ambience if there's a wedding on. Having said that, we've enjoyed eating at Hollings Hey everytime we've been.

having just fell upon this wonderful restaurant quite by accident, we had a fantastic meal here, it is a carvery but not just any old carvery it has been thoughtfully worked out, it has everything you could wish for, the staff were the most attentive, and the price is just great even though you might think it is going to be expensive it isn?, we have now been several times and are going again this Saturday .You will have to book though as this great secret is out and they do have a dress code so good in this day and age I would just like to thank Andrew and his staff for a very enjoyable evening.

EVERY TWO OR THREE MONTHS I EAT AT MONROES WITH A GROUP OF FRIENDS AND WE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS FOR THE PAST FEW YEARS. THE SERVICE IS SECOND TO NONE AND THE FOOD IS AMAZING.

Well what can I say other than try it! You won't be disappointed. Great food, great service.

The food is so lovely at this restaurant. There is so much choice and everything I have tried is delicious. I have been on several occasions and the last time I had spicy sausage which was very tasty followed by a lamb dish. The price is very reasonable and place itself is basic but authentic. The Turkish coffee is fab too!
