The food was ordered and delivered to the table within 15mins.It was well cooked but bland and the portions on the small side. The staff were polite, hard-working and very helpful. We had to prompt them for the sweet we'd ordered and again when we ordered more food that hadn't arrived 25mins after ordering. To be fair it was busy and our prompting led to a flurry of activity. Nice atmosphere, reasonably priced and pleasant staff make it well worth a visit.

I must say I was very highly impressed with Magic Spices, the staff were very friendly, chatty and the magician was spectacular. I would definitely recommend this to everyone. Was recommended to me by a friend. 9/10 Ammy Lincoln

The staff are very friendly and helpful, always a nice atmosphere in there. Good selection of hot and cold snacks, main meals, cakes and drinks. Nice clean place to eat, and Pam in there makes great chips!

We read the reviews on here and we (2 adults, 1 child) were very impressed when we visited on Monday 27th March 2006 for the £9.95 Monday buffet, (half price for children). Decor, staff and most of all the food, were all excellent. The resident Magician / Balloon man visited us at the end of our meal for our choice of balloon shapes!! I would definitely phone first to book, as it did get busy. The only downside was the price of a glass of coke, which was £1.50, but it didn't spoil the evening we had in there. Treat yourselves.....

What a hidden gem! We went for the buffet on a Monday evening, and thought the welcome and service and indeed the food were fantastic. Considering it was an "all you can eat" buffet, there was no rushing at all, we spent a very pleasant 2 hours there. Definitely highly recommended, will definitely be going again, especially for the balloon shapes you receive at the end of the meal, what a lovely novelty idea!!!

The best kept secret in Wirral.The food cooked by Tony is consistantly excellent.They make all spring rolls dim sum etc themselves:no supermarket stuff!We have been going for over 15 years now & staff & customers are now like friends.Nancy & Tony treat you like house guests,not just customers.

My daughter travelled from Manchester & fancied an Indian meal. She is a regular in Rusholme on the "Curry Mile" but she stated that the food at The Magic Spices was far better than that she had experienced there. Well done, as she will visit each time she is in the area and would recommend it to anyone.

The food is authentically Turkish, not Greek at all, although the two cuisines have a few similar dishes. The banquets are good value, though the restaurant has taken to serving starter portions on individual dishes rather than in the middle of the table to be shared. The early evening deal (Sunday to Friday) is well worth keeping in mind, but the various Turkish dishes on the main menu are recommended too.

Wallasey's or New Brighton's (it's on the border) Indian gem. Very stylish food, and that goes for the decor too. Many favourites on the menu, all of them highly recommended, but try the less familiar items for a change. We're always glad we do.

A great Indian restaurant, lovely decor and table settings, attentive staff, food nicely presented. The chicken madras is fantastic... nice touch with impromptu magic tricks and balloon creations to entertain...

Went to this restaurant in july, food was really good the waiters were polite and very friendly. Well worth a visit.

This place is great!! Food is lovely especially if you go to the all you can eat buffet on the Monday. On other days, expect to be treated to magic tricks and/or balloon sculpture. The take away service (which can be delivered to your door at no extra cost) is also faultless. If only all places were like this!!

always a wait, but I feel it is due to the picturesque location rather than the food and service is slow

service was acceptable but occasionally overheard staff gossiping about other staff and what they did at weekends. service ok once got staff attention.
