Food for Thought in Wallsend is a top quality sandwich shop with a large selection of hot and cold snacks. The genuinely friendly and professional staff, the Food for Thought team, work tirelessly to create delicious sandwiches that use only the freshest and finest local produce. There are a number of daily and seasonal specials that include home-made broth and Mexican chicken with rice. Another feature of this establishment is the quality and range of their buffets and outside catering, each one designed to the individuals specification. On my latest venture to this shop I purchased a chilli chicken and jalapenos panini [OMG] and if you like your food spicy this has to be a must to have.

This restaurant is excellent or any kind of curry, mr Ali's food is always a master piece! The deals are always at great price, the staff are always very helpful and friendly, I am sure to visit here again! :D

Service is fantastic here, food is always delicious, the Tandoori chicken comes on a sizzling plate and tasted as good as it looked. My favourite was the Karahi Bindi ghost. I recommend this place for any occasions and curry lovers like me. Staff were also very friendly and helpful. =)

I was recently recommended this establishment after being let down so many times by another so my colleagues and I decided to give it a try. An assorted number of sandwiches including breakfast boxes were ordered and promptly delivered. I have to say that the food was cooked to perfection and the portions were enormous. We cannot wait for next week to come around

I am a usual customer at this restaurant, it is absolutely great, from service to food! Also the food is always cooked perfectly and tastes delicious! There are fantastic range of deals that have excellent prices. I am sure to visit you again for another meal soon.

Lovers of Bangladeshi / Indian cuisine must try Mia's Modern Tandoori in Wallsend. Food is always perfect, cooked to order and presented perfectly. His front of house staff (son & nephew) know how to treat their customers and are always ready to advise or 'chat''. Don't forget to take your own wine or other drinks. Last visit - 2 course perfect meal - less than £30. Thanks to Mia and guys (wish I knew your names), for a really nice evening.

chain store food, could be cooked by and probably is, an 18 year old student. not very good.

after reading the comments on this sandwich shop I thought I would drop in to check for myself. it's a smallish shop but it looked spotless. I ordered a pasta salad box and can only say that it was delicious. it had everything you could wish for. I even asked for and got extra jalapenos. Be careful they are very hot. it won't be long before I will be going back

Usually comments on food are down to the individual person so I am not generally swayed but I was in Wallsend last week and decided to pop in to Food for Thought to see if the hype was correct. Boy was I impressed. The choice of hot and cold sandwiches and snacks is immense and even if you want a sandwich that's not on their menu they will make it for you. The jacket potatoes are superb - I didn't think potatoes grew that big. The choice of fillings (chicken tikka being my favourite) is vast and together with a side salad you have the complete meal and not just a snack. Don't miss out go and see for yourself

You will have to travel far and pay a lot more to beat the quality of food delivered at this sandwich shop. They have a great range of hot and cold food and the fillings are huge. Well worth a visit because once you have been you will be going back time after time

Great friendly sandwich shop. the variety and quality of the sandwiches are first class. Highly recommend the soup and bacon and brie sandwich. Service is excellent and the staff always have time to listen

i just love this place for my Thursday night treat they do a crazy special for £5.95. the food from this place is as good if not better than you will find down ocean road.

We are regular customers from this take away and have never been disappointed the Curry is delivered hot to eat and to taste if thats what you want. Prices are very reasonable and they have an amazing Thursday night special 4 courses for about £7
