I am a regular customer here. The service is amazing. Whenever i am unsure of what to order, i always receive good recommendations. Other restaurants in the area have nothing on the Modern Tandoori. Its very good quality food for a cheap amount. I strongly recommend that you give this place a try, you will be impressed. Remember, you never know how good it tastes until you try it.

Having used this takeaway for many years and constantly compared to others in the area, I have now decided no further comparison is necessary, this is simply the best takeaway within the area with very tasty food (especially lamb madras, chicken chat and onion bahjis), friendly staff and an excellent delivery service add to the experience. 1 slight downside is that waiting times without pre ordering can sometimes run to 30 mins

Little sarnie shop in the heart of Wallsend, what? new you say? well food for thought or (FFT) i will call it here has an excellent range of both hot and cold sarnies in a variety of bun types and will cater for any particular sarnie u like right down to the most obscure. the price is fair and the fillings are not skimped on. aswell as doing sarnies FFT also do baked potatoes in a range of fillings, well worth a look if your in that neck of the woods.

Been to this establishment on a number of occasions, still hits the spot for a good meal in a great atmosphere. I love the music!

My husband and I have been dining here for the past 4-5 years and have never been disappointed in the quality and quantity of the food served. Although Miah doesn't hold a drinks licence, he is hospitable and provides glasses and bottle openers for you to bring your own wine and beer. We have watched his business expand over the last few years and are writing this review to hopefully see it expand even more. Nothing is too much trouble and Miah goes out of his way to provide you with any curry you like, be it extremely hot or mild. Miah is a well respected business man here in Wallsend and an active campaigner for children? charities in his home country of Bangladesh. Based on our recommendation, go along and give this place a try, you will not be disappointed.

My partner & I eat here quite often also use the take-a-way facility & we have never been disappointed. Mr Miah does not have a drinks licence but he does let you take your own drink in with you. Give it a go & you will be pleasantly surprised, everything is freshly prepared & cooked , so yes, you may have to wait a little, but hey! it's worth it.

Great little restaurant and the food is fantastic and as good as anywhere else, and so reasonably priced. My friends and I have been coming here for years and the food never disappoints. Bring your own drinks though as Mr Miah very sensibly chooses not to have an alcohol licence. Great guy, Mr Miah, and he raises a great amount of money through registered charity for Bangladeshi villages to build water wells so they can have fresh water.
