2nd time of visiting, food was exceptional both times but it was a bit quiet so lacked atmosphere. The service was good and the food is exceptional, such good value for money - they really deserve more custom! The complimentary coffee was a nice surprise- thank you!

A very quiet Friday lunchtime - food was very good - we managed starters and pies, all first class and beautifully presented. With food like this I should be struggling to book a table next time!

We had the most lovely meal Saturday evening. The food was delicious - in particular the burgers were gobbled up by our hungry crew. They looked after us - a big group of 15 plus dogs wonderfully and we wouldn’t hesitate to go back. Lovely country pub in a beautiful setting with yummy food

I had often driven passed this pub and always said - we must eat here. Instead of going to our regular haunt we gave The Blowing Stone Inn a go. It was warm so we stayed outside. We ordered squid and crispy beef - both delicious. As a main course we had to go fo the 28 day locally sourced Rib Eye. Glad we did a it was cooked perfectly and melted in the mouth although the chunky chips were also great - super crispy , fluffy and complimented the meal perfectly. No room for pudding as the portions are quite generous. Great friendly service - next time I will be tying the pasta.

Excellent. Food, service, parking, atmosphere were all very good. I'd recommend the 'Blowing Stone' to anyone. Vegetarian options were a little limited, but we were aware of that before booking: we were not disappointed therefore.

What a lovely place this is! We were holding an special family event and the whole team at the pub were absolutely brilliant. A great venue in a beautiful location. Food was fantastic with great service. Thankyou so much to the manager in particular for looking after us so well! I would definitely recommend this venue to others.

We came to the Blowing Stone for our Easter Sunday lunch yesterday and have woken up today still thinking about the food. Wonderful roasts and my partner had the sea bass which looked amazing too. Huge portion sizes, friendly service and a beautiful pub with a wonderful atmosphere. Plus, the whole place was very clean!

A relaxing Saturday evening was had at the blowing stone. The food has greatly improved.I especially enjoyed the home made pie.

I took my elderly Mum for Mother's Day. The on line booking system is very easy and I received emails confirming the booking. We were greeted at the door and taken to our table which is a slow progress due to Mum's mobility but there was no rush and I was offered help with Mum if I needed it. There was a bit of a wait for our food but the atmosphere is so relaxed and unrushed, it isn't a problem. We weren't interrupted on numerous occasions to ask if everything was OK but the staff were there on hand and happy to help when needed. Nothing was too much trouble from the time we walked through the door to the time we left. The food is amazing and cooked to order and is freshly cooked. The portions are generous - I couldn't eat all of mine and it was boxed up for me to bring home. I would highly recommend The Blowing Stone and already planning to return.

Went for Sunday Lunch. Both of us had roast beef, which was cooked perfectly and absolutely delicious. Pigs in Blankets were extra but a good size and made with tasty sausages. We both had crumble and my only gripe would be that we both felt we needed more custard with it

Great pub, Spectacular food, Comfortable and stylish rooms, Beautiful area, Staff couldn’t be any more attentive, 10/10 will definitely be going back! Stayed here when previous owners had the place and these guys have saved it! The whole place just makes you feel warm and welcome. The rooms are decorated beautifully with all the bits and bobs you need away from home but always forget to pack, the food was just delicious and left us as full as we could be, chefs home made sticky toffee is to die for. We took it up to our room and enjoyed it watching a film in bed with a glass of their home made mulled wine too. All round perfect place and we will be back!

Great goats cheese tarts to start, also the presentation of the pie was spectacular! Makes a nice change rather than standard thick pastry. The show stopper was the sticky toffee pudding though, my only regret was the portion was too much for me to finish.
