Popped in last week whilst travelling to visit family before Christmas. Oh my! What a find, ordered the slow cooked pork pie and it literally melted in my mouth! My husband had the halibut and cleaned the plate. Desert we shared the home made cheese cake and it was gorgeous, cute little bar with a good choice of local ale. Will definitely be coming back again next year. Well done chef !!

Stayed in the b&b for 2 nights so ate in the restaurant for breakfast and can honestly say it’s value for money is impeccable! Such a good selection of all types of breakfast.. For lunch we tried the curried cauliflower and coconut soup. Was hesitant with the description but never judge a book by its cover. Absolutely beautiful, just what we needed on a cold day like today. We shared a rotisserie chicken for dinner before leaving to go out for the night and again absolutely perfect. Crispy skin and tasty onion rings with home made slaw. Already booked a room for next year and looking forward to seeing the team again. Amazing staff, can’t do enough for you!

Super pub, really great team, I enquired about dairy free options ahead of booking and was told they would make something especially for us. The chef kindly made dairy free profiteroles which was amazing. Most places offer sorbet as the dairy free option, but sorbet isn’t always dairy free!

Prawn cocktail was excellent The Pie of the Day which was said to be pork was the most disgusting thing I have ever been served in a restaurant. Another member of the party agreed. Potato was dried potato and just a huge lump of mash, and the carrots and beans were cold. No sauce with the pie, Good coffee in cold cups. Sorry, we were looking forward to supporting a new venue. The conservatory was very nice and raised our hopes on arrival.

Once again, excellent food and friendly, welcoming and accommodating service. The Blowing Stone is perfectly placed for walking on the Ridgeway and we plan on going back again on the next training walk for our February charity challenge.

We stayed one night in a very well-appointed and comfortable room. The food in the restaurant was excellent, and the service was friendly and welcoming. Location is great for walking on the Downs. Highly recommended.

Had a lovely meal. Have never seen a pie presented so nicely. The beef just melted in the mouth. Very cosy pub. The service was good. Would recommend and will definitely return.

One of the best pies we have ever eaten, beautifully cooked, flaky beef with a rich red onion gravy. Absolutely stunning rooms, no request was too big and we even had extras in the room. Perfectly cooked breakfast that we were able to pick the items on. A real hidden gem.

The wife tried the sweet potato crisps and hasn’t stopped going on about them since, I had the venison sausage and mash, the red onion gravy was perfect. We heard there will be a pizza oven soon so we will definitely be coming back with the kids for that!

We came down for a romantic getaway and booked a room for two nights. The rooms were lovely - cosy and warm with coffee and tea in and a great shower, and super comfy pillows. Then we have the food. The chef and kitchen staff were fantastic, and the actual food was insane! We had burgers and pasta while we were there, and it was INCREDIBLE. The atmosphere in the pub was great too, and not too expensive either! All super polite staff, and within walking distance to awesome local landmarks. I would (and have) recommended this to friends and family, and definitely for little romantic weekends away!

An absolute delight! The Blowing Stone Inn was the perfect place to stay for my first visit to the beautiful Cotswolds. I couldn’t fault one thing! The food was so fresh, delicious, beautifully presented and served by super welcoming, friendly staff. The rooms are STUNNING!! The bed feels like a cloud to sleep on and no details are missed in terms of facilities. The location is so quiet and tranquil, perfect for a relaxing weekend away. I will one hundred percent stay at The Blowing Stone Inn next time I visit The Cotswolds!

What a beautiful pub/restaurant, we came in for a Sunday roast and it was one of the best we have had in a very long time! The chicken was cooked to perfection and the cheesy leeks were to die for. We tried a homemade mango cheesecake for pudding and their own ice cream nachos! What a creation they are!! If you haven’t tried this place yet then you are missing out, great staff and a beautiful setting. We will be returning without a doubt.

Had lunch here on a Thursday. Pleasant interior. Friendly staff and food very acceptable. Wine very nice. Shame we were only ones dining but not totally surprised as mid week and pub is slightly out of way. Will go back again as we only live in next village.
