Had a great meal recently, the service and food is excellent, and as other reviews have said it is quite different from most of the Indian restaurants around. The starters are really substantial and the naan bread to die for. All in all a very good night the food and service very good, will be going back again soon

Pietra Bar and Restaurant – WaterlooMy Family recently visited Nicolas for my Mums 70th Birthday. Mum was unsure of going to a restaurant as over the past few years has suffered with an illness that means she can collapse anywhere. Nicolas staff made my mum feel like royalty and treated her and all of our party with a friendly and most hospitable manner. Needless to say after a night of wonderful celebration including taking my mum , led by one of their wonderful waiters to the middle of the full restaurant floor and getting the whole restaurant to sing happy birthday, excellent food and 1 very happy 70th birthday lady we will be sure to revisit Nicolas again very soon. P.s this was a couple of weeks ago and my mum is still talking about it! Thankyou so muchxx

Greek Taverna – WaterlooAWful! Awful! Awful! My ex-colleagues had a small party there on October 29th. Firstly, the service was dreadful! Our orders were mixed up with other tables: one dish visited us twice before it's rightful owner was found on the table behind ours! One main dish arrived fully 10 minutes after the first one did. And the food: the veg was inedible - the carrots seemed to have come from the Tommy Cooper School of Cuisine: Carrot -Pan, Pan-Carrot, and that's about as long as they were cooked for! The fillet steaks were poor quality meat and the fish dishes were poorly presented. A pasta dish looked like a road accident and the pork chops were tough as old boots! The desserts were uninspiring and the coffees luke-warm! Needless to say we wont be hurrying back!

The food is fabulous (not just the usual stock dishes) and very well presented, with a modern feel. We have been a couple of times with children and they have made special meals with a milder flavour (a welcome change from chicken nuggets). Everything we have tried off the menu has been delicious and exceeds your expectations. Highly recommended.
Saffron – WaterlooI have never been disappointed here, the pizzas are AMAZING, you can really taste the difference with the wood burning oven. We were in a large party and the service was great, food was spot on and I thought it was reasonable, and we did go through the card !! Couldn't recommend this place highly enough - very smart since it's recent makeover.

Greek Taverna – Waterlootook my partner here for his birthday we loved the atmosphere and the staff where understanding as it was really busy ,we loved the food but the wine was not corked and found that not right for a restaurant as we have always been told corked wine is the best.

Tapas Tapas – Waterlooi have visited this Restaurant many occasions and i have yet to complain. The service is lovely, always willing to help and assist. The food is beautiful also. I have taken my daughter there also and all children, of all age are invited and welcomed.
Greek Taverna – WaterlooAs fine as any Indian restaurant on Merseyside, and that's saying quite a lot. Delectable shashlik, reshmi kebab and lamb chops - oh, and a delicious chicken chat, but all the starters that we've had are recommended. Among the mains we've been particularly delighted by the lamb tawa and the mangolian fish curry. We travel from across the river, and it's emphatically worth the journey.
Saffron – WaterlooLovely atmosphere as soon as you enter the staff are really happy and helpful. The food is fantastic very good value for money I would personally recommend the meatballs :-)
Greek Taverna – WaterlooWould definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone, it is by far the best in Liverpool, we go regularly and just love it,all the staff are fantastic, Ali the Manager is brilliant, and ~Yvonne and Beatra are the best hosts around ever, i invited about 26 people there for my big birthday and could not have chosen a better place to take them LOVE IT THERE !!!!!!
