Visited the restaurant on a team christmas lunch. The food was great and the waitress very friendly, considering she had 12 of us to deal with. The service was a bit slow but all the meals got delivered at the same time and as on a christmas treat we didn't mind waiting too much. Have intentions of visiting there again and trying other food off the menu.

What a place! I love Spire, it's probably the best place i've been in Liverpool. It's cosy and the service has always been exceptional. The food is amazing, never had a complaint about any of the dishes i've ever tried. We have booked in for New Years Eve and i'm already licking my lips in anticipation!

Unhappy Diners

sorry but we as a group visited Jalons on 14th December 07 for Christmas lunch booked for 1pm. We had to knock for the door to open the place was freezing cold, the service was poor and the food - processed turkey, overcooked veg and at least 1/2 packet of salt thrown in for good measure or for taste. Desserts were no better. The place was empty -only 9 of us in for the lunch and would not allow us to move from the window area which was freezing. Not to be recommended

First visit to spire, Wednesday night, we had the early evening menu as we had booked for 6.30.we started with omemade foccia bread and basil oil, then i had the crispy duck confit and for main course the sea bass, we shared a cheese which was a supplemented dessert, we had one bottle of wine and a bottle of water, the food and service was superb but most of all to me was the value for money, it was like an al a carte meal without the ala carte bill, only sorry i have not been before as its been open nearly two years,i will certainly return

Me and my boyfriend go here a lot, but it can be hit or miss. It depends on whether it is busy! I go for the BBQ chicken and ribs with herb potatoes which are very nice. My boyfriend loves the chicken breast sandwiches. We both get a starter, a glass of coke each and a main meal and it is always around £30 for the both of us. Waiters and waitresses are always very nice there. The only annoying thing is when its somebodies birthday they turn the lights right down and bring a cake out and sing happy birthday - It happens at least twice while your there!

I have been to Jalons on many occasions and have never been disappointed last night I took my family my son had never been before he really enjoyed the "Lamb" so soft it melted in your mouth. We went on the early doors session so no music but as we left the restaurant was filling up it looked as if they would be in for a good night.

Been to Spire now on 6 occassions or so. I thought it was time to put my praise of the restaurant into words. We went for lunch on Friday last and as usual the food was excellent as was the service. Every time we have been the food is always cooked and presented to the highest standard. The staff are friendly and attentive and you can see that the chef insists on high standards for the quality and taste of the produce he uses. Spire deserves to go from strength to strength given the poor quality of the food of several restaurants in the Allerton and Woolton area. Make sure you try it out!

This is the best place in the universe to eat! THE END... THE BEST!!! I've been a regular since I was 18 and I'm now 26 and love it even more! Chicken makhanwala and especially my favourite dish ever made from here a Chicken Tikka Madras with Keema Pilaw Rice! Try it with a kashmiri Naan and pint of Cobra Beer and try not too fall asleep with heavenly fullness! It is simply Incredible and I think I love it and them!

Crispy duck and the lemon chicken is the best i have had for a long time, the lemon chicken is so lightly batter the chicken melts in your mouth. Finish the night off with the dessert the toffee mixed the fruits is not over batter and the toffee coating just right and not too sweet.

Just been for a late breakfast small wait but well worth it the food was quick, fresh and piping hot, vege sausages where a bit worse off but everything else was great. huge fluffy pancakes, juicy sausages and hot buttery toast will be visiting again soon. well worth a try for an easy sunday morning/ early afternoon

The food is really mind-blowing especially the crispy chilli beef. They also do great buffets on Sundays only.
