We visited this pub with friends last week and had an excellent meal - genuine fine pub grub and great atmosphere, attentive staff who made us feel very welcome and were happy to offer their recommendations.

Love the food and the atmosphere, really great service and just makes you want to go back for more, would recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Went last Friday (12/9/08), had a really lovely meal, the staff were excellent, the food was hot plentiful and nicely served, and the cost was very reasonable. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a nice Chinese meal out.

I don't know who the chef is, but he is the best. Nearly as good as my own dad!!

We have been to many restaurants, and would have to say that the Retsina is one of the best, the service is impeccable, and the food is perfection, would recommend this restaurant to everyone, and will most definitely be back.

This place is absolutely gawjuss! I dine here all the time and the food is always spot on. A true diamond in the rough. Always guaranteed fresh food and impeccable service.

The food is very nice indeed. The place is clean and upstairs toilets spotless you think you are going into somebodies home when you get upstairs lovely. The staff are very attentive and the owners very involved would recommend to anyone

Only a mile away from home, no need to travel any further. superb food, friendly helpful staff, not the cheapest but certainly one of the best. Worth ordering takeaway from here also, rather than the "chippy" !

A wonderful chinese restaurant, the staff are very welcoming and very knowledgeable about the menu, the beer was perfect, the food was the best I have ever had the pleasure of having! 10/10! Make a booking though, it was very busy last Friday night! apmc

i recently visited Derby Lane SAndwich Bar on my lunch break, at first i didn't know what to order as there was so much choice! i had the hot beef with onions and mushrooms on a baguette, i was worried that it would be a bit fatty but they told me it would all be cooked on a non-fat griddle without using any oil. my friend had the bacon chicken and cheese which looked a bit big for me. we also had some drinks and a cake each which were only 35p each! the staff were friendly and polite and the place was spotless. i believe its the only take away in that area with more than 2 stars on the lcc website.I would recommend this place to everyone as its clean, very tasty, quick and the choice is fantastic!!! a+++

Absolutely gorgeous food, best Chinese in the country

been going here quiet a few years now special for birthdays or even for a nice night without the children and they take their time to say hi and make sure everything is fine would recommend it to any one

I have been at Retsina for the past 5 years and it's has been always a pleasure to dine there. Top Greek food cuisine top service always the same staff and owner. Nice family relaxing restaurant, I recommend it to every one to tray it. Make sure you book your table as it's always full on Friday and Saturday.

we have been here many times, although we do try to get in for the 15% off before 7PM. Skordo stoumbi is to die for ! If this was in the city centre you would not get in. So don't tell everyone ?

Just been out for Valentines day. Restaurant was full and the staff coped excellently. The food was of a high standard and we weren? rushed because it was busy. The staff were very pleasant and the atmosphere was good. Had the Greek banquet (meze) and a bottle of wine and still had change out of £40...... all round an excellent night.

The restaurant offers a very friendly service, although some dishes are rather expensive, there is plenty of choice to appeal to most. It is well worth the visit!

We have eaten here on several occasions. It is a nice local restaurant. The food is always of good quality. They offer a 10% discount if you order before 7pm although what is not very clear is that this is on cash orders only and you are only told when you query the bill! The only other let down is the seating arrangements - fine if you are in a group but not some friendly if there are just two of you! Would however not let this put you off as we have gone back on several occasions
