I recommend everything on the menu, I recommend the ambience, I recommend the service and the staff are so attentive and are actually eager to ensure you have a great night. This is a little bit of heaven in Westhoughton. Without fear of contradiction I highly recommend Andiamo's. My only concern is that it becomes so popular I cant get a table.

what can I say, I have dined in restaurants across the world; this was a truly 'feel-good' dining experience. Can't wait to return. Top Class, Top Marks.

we went to the andiamo restaurant last night , the service , food and atmosphere was outstanding . from my telephone booking several days before to leaving the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly . , they catered for our special requirements on service and food which was delicious , also the portion sizes were perfect.

what a great place to go and have a great meal. just to inform you, i found out that if you leave a tip for the staff, the staff actually only receive a £3 tip at the end of each night and the rest of the money goes to the management, so DON'T leave a tip!!!!! the lady running front of house seems to be a nice person when serving you, i overheard her speaking to a member of staff VERY NASTILY!!!

As our nearest restaurant and the only one in reasonable walking distance, we were hoping for a really nice evening. Unfortunately we were a little let down. I have to say that it is difficult to say exactly what isn't quite right but the overall experience is disappointing. The restaurant has been extended since our last visit is a welcoming environment. We were greeted with a smile and promptly shown to our table, where we were still in the process of sitting down when we were asked if we wanted a drink while we were waiting - waiting for what? we hadn't even sat down! Despite having some coat racks, you are left to put your coats over the back of your chair (good job it wasn't raining). The menu is a little odd, with a huge range of sauted chicken, but it is a bit like spot the difference between some of them and every single one had mushrooms in (something I don't like), I am sure they would have made one without mushrooms if I asked but it would be better if they simplified the range of chicken dishes a little and perhaps added something else instead. Our order was taken fairly swiftly and the starters arrived promptly. Both were nice but the pate only came with a tiny amount of toast which did somewhat spoil it. There was a bit of a wait between the starter and main course but not too excessive, however in this time I had an empty glass and after several attempts I finally managed to attract the attention of one of the waitrers and I ordered another beer. It was quite a long time before it finally arrived (as it was simply a bottle of peroni, it should have been quicker). The main course was eventually served and we had bearly taken a mouthful before we were asked if everything was alright. Food was OK but not exceptional. Our plates were cleared promptly and we were bought the dessert menu (including the specials on a tatty bit of paper). These were almost dumped on the table. We quickly chose what we wanted and then waited a long time to order them (for no apparent reason as the staff weren't that busy). As soon as we had ordered them and some coffees we were asked by almost all the other staff whether we wanted anything else! The italian trifle was disappointing for something advertised as the chef's speciality - it was a little bland. We then waited ages for our coffees despite ordering them with the desserts and being asked whether we wanted any when our plates were cleared. Whilst we were waiting we couldn't help overhearing everyone else being offered ice cream with their desserts - we weren't offered any. The coffees eventually arrived and were nice. We then asked for the bill and again waited ages. I guess with a little more effort on service and some slight changes to the menu (i.e. simplify it) this place would be much better, there isn't really that much wrong with it but overall it was just disapointing.

For anyone that has not been to Andiamo's in the last 18 months, you need to go again to see the fantastic extension that has more than doubled the size of the restaurant. The food is still fabulous, the waiters still a bit dizzy, but still the best restaurant in the area. Now that Casa Nostra is under new ownership and La Scala have brought out their new menu with all of their prices reduced,Andiamos will have to watch out.Still charging Manchester city centre prices.

was not really enjoyable in my opinion, The "Special" left alot to be desired and was not worth the asking price of £18. (it arrived cold and tasted awful) My overall findings of casa nostra were that they were more focused on selling take away pizza's than the well being of their table diners, and this shows in the quality of food. My advice would be to make the extra 10 minute journey to La Scala just up the road were the food is freshly made by authentic Italian chefs.

there is a wonderful atmosphere in the main restaurant, with the trompe l'oeil effect adding to the "foreign holiday" effect. The food is always excellent and plentiful,( the meatballs special was to die for). This is a far superior restaurant to the other "italian" in Westhoughton which is cramped, small dull portions of poor quality and only slightly cheaper. I love everything about La Scala. I can never eat the starter and all the main course but they happily package it up to take home

Been to this pub/restaurant twice now. The first time (months ago) wasn't too bad, the food was pretty cheap, but my meal was over cooked and was replaced, by something only slightly better. I went again two nights ago with a friend and was extremely disappointed to say the least. I ordered the "Tomato, cheese, and broccoli bake", there wasn't a trace of tomato (stated a tomato sauce), it was basically a bowl of cheese with about 3 peices of broccoli. My friend had a chicken curry, she said it was awful and the sauce was curdled. After complaining, the manager eventually showed his face and told us that the food was in fact bought in frozen! I asked why the menu said the bake was in tomato sauce and he couldn't give a proper answer. He was very reluctant to satisfy us and in the end gave us a partial refund of £2.75 between us! Outrageous. I won't be setting foot near the place again, I will be sticking with the Blundell Arms who don't microwave their meals!

I went to Casa Nostra one Sunday Evening with my Wife & Child and was very disappointed the place needs a major make over, I have not been in here for years and it has not changed. The chairs tables and bar, looks like something from a dodgy Labour Club in the 70's. The food is not good either and we will not go again. Thanks

Went in for a meal in the week early evening and the place wasn't very busy,i ordered from the so called a la carte menu and my partner had the carvery that seemed like great value but was obviously mostly frozen vegetables and bought in frozen Yorkshire puddings and the meat was rubbery like it had been microwaved, when advertised fresh local produce,i am sure there is a law about that somewhere? My main meal from the menu came,a steak, which was like leather and over cooked, after asking for it to be medium, also the table and carpets where quite dirty which didn't make me enjoy the meal too well,i would recommend NEW management as the service was slow .On my way out of the car park i saw who i thought was the manager stood outside the door of the kitchen with kitchen staff having a cigarette, now is that something you would like to see before or after you have eaten there?Won't be going again, and have heard lots of bad opinions from other people who have been there too.

This restaurant became a Tapas Restaurant earlier this year and the food was fantastic. My husband and i have been 3 times in quite close succession. Unfortunately, the surroundings are seriously lacking. Considerable investment needs to be made to transform the interior. I have recommended the food to many people but, everyone of them has said they would not go, as it looks so rundown. The restaurant has not been opening in the evening recently and is now just serving breakfast and lunch. This is very sad as the chef clearly has a talent that is being wasted

Been visiting this restaurant for a number of years now and can honestly say we have never been disappointed. Service and food is always excellent and the weekday specials are great value for money. They will always accommodate changes to the dishes e.g. my husband always asks for chicken in the carbonara and penne pasta rather than spaghetti and requests like this are never a problem because everything is freshly made. You can visit more expensive Italian restaurants nearby but you will get less quality food! I would highly recommend this restaurant - it's worth a try for a cheap weekday meal or a nice weekend treat.
