Visited for Sunday Lunch. Used The Bay restaurant, which was very light and airy. Lovely quality dining furniture, very clean and modern surroundings. We ordered a traditional Sunday roast, staff were very pleasant and obliging. Didn’t have to wait long for our food to arrive, which was very well presented. Food was very good, I had the roast beef and cooked to perfection and not tough. Great portion size and good value for money. Would highly recommend, and we will be visiting again in the near future.

I brought my Mum and Mum in law here for lunch. The service was excellent and the food delicious. We will definitely be coming back. Thank you.

From the moment we walked in the staff made me and my wife very welcome. Where we sat was very clean and presented well. The staff that took care of us were amazing, super friendly and couldn't do enough to be of help. The food came out quick, was fantastic well cooked and presented, again the staff came over to make sure we were ok and the mea was good. I would highly recommend coming to eat and we will be coming back.

Another visit, another fabulous customer service experience, looking after both humans and dogs (and we were all amazed at the age of the dachshund!) - such friendly and accommodating staff - I always have a lovely time with friends and having the extra excellent service makes even more special. Thank you to all - you are very much appreciated. Sorry, forgot to say - and the food was really good too.

My daughter treated me to lunch as it was a birthday treat. We both ordered the cooked breakfast, as that’s what we fancied my daughter didn’t want everything that was listed and asked if she could have extra items of what she did want , when it arrived there was nothing extra on it! My breakfast was also disappointing a hard fried egg, toast that was crispy ( I can only imagine the bread was stale ) not the best breakfast I have had and I was disappointed, however the staff were lovely and didn’t have a problem there , not sure if I would return for food , but possibly a drink as it’s a fab setting

We had Sunday lunch in the Bay Restaurant. Very good meal - one roast pork, one roast chicken. The roast potatoes could have been a bit crisper but that’s my preference. Portion size was huge. Service first class and staff were excellent so attentive and friendly. We will definitely go again as the Bay has a lovely atmosphere.

Superb staff, excellent customer service. Booked for two (plus a dog) on Friday 10th - staff were really welcoming and friendly, the food was delicious (soup / fish and chips) Lovely and quiet - I give the whole experience 10 ********** Thank you - and much appreciated

Disappointed compared to previous meals here..sadly the service was very slow on this occasion. More than 30 minutes even to get drinks to the table ,! The food was okay but not up to previous standards and the meat and potato portions were on the small side for a Sunday roast. Definitely glad of the extra sides we ordered.

The food was fantastic and couldn’t fault the kitchen staff one bit. If the review was based on food alone then this would be 5*. However, the service was terrible. The restaurant was pretty much empty but the waitress took an incredibly long time to do anything and after waiting a while for the drinks to arrive we had to get up and ask for them as they’d been forgotten. I’d definitely go back and just hope that next time the service will be better. It’s just a shame that the service doesn’t match the level the kitchen staff are giving to the customer.

We have lunched at Rock Salt a few times since moving to this area and have always enjoyed our meals. There is a wide selection and everything is beautifully cooked. A particular favourite is the chocolate brownie dessert. The staff are always very friendly and welcoming.

We popped in on Sunday for a roast dinner and the service and food was excellent. Very friendly staff too in pleasant surroundings.

We've been here a couple of times, and each time the service and food have been great. The food is lovely and all freshly cooked. The staff are attentive and efficient. Would highly recommend.

Had a full English breakfast with friends and our pup. The breakfast was freshly cooked, beautifully presented and thoroughly enjoyable. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly as was the staff who were efficient as well. We shall return.

We booked online for a Sunday roast in the Bay at 6.15pm . You take bookings until 6.30pm. There was 4 of us. We all chose to skip straight to the roast mains. After a short delay they arrived along with the cauli cheese ordered. They were nicely presented. Sadly we all said the roast potatoes tasted like they had been sat around kept warm all day and were a little soggy. The roast beef was good , but the one pork meal was chewy and too thickly cut to cut up with the knife on the table We all enjoyed our puddings, but the most annoying part of the whole experience was that when we asked for coffees and aperetifs we were told the coffee machine had been cleaned out for the night and the bar was closed . This was 7.45 pm If you take bookings up until 6.30pm , why on earth would you not give customers time to have 3 courses ( we only had 2 ) plus coffees and drinks afterwards We were all very disapointed and as locals living in the village would feel it difficult to recommend the restaurant The waitresses were polite , so we did pay the extra 10% but felt the overall experience was a let down tbh.

Rock Salt is clean, light and airy. It is local to us and a nice place to socialise.

Lovely food. One of the best roast dinners I have had in ages. Beautiful surroundings and helpful and kind staff. What more could you ask for! Reasonably priced also. Would highly recommend

What a lovely couple of hours spent in your restaurant - the special attention by the restaurant staff was great - very attentive and very aware. Nothing was too much trouble - excellent customer service from the two women. The food was very good and myself and my friend had a thoroughly enjoyable lunch. Thank you
