Last visited here a few years ago and wanted to visit again for a birthday treat Wasn't disappointed at all, excellent food, waitress was exemplary and very attentive and an all round good night out. Pleased I booked well in advance as it was very busy.

Lived up to expectations, could not fault the service and food. Great varied menu. Well worth waiting for.

The food was gorgeous. Oysters are certainly the best, huge and juicy. Very friendly staff. Only one thing I’d recommend to improve: size of the tables. We could hardly fit our order on our table for two. I understand the issue might be cafe is too popular for making more space. But comfortable tables would make this place perfect.

Delicious and what a great menu. We brought our friends for early supper on Saturday and we had a fabulous time. Great views and great food. We will always return. Thank you.

Wonderful as ever! First time with baby buggy too. The staff were wonderful, helping us in and out of the elevator, and keeping the little one amused when she started to get bored

The menu was varied and excellent, and the service provided by waitresses superb It was great that I was able to book a table in advance. I'll be back again next time I holiday in Whitby

A lovely evening at the magpie. Our first time in Whitby and this place was recommended. Did not disappoint the food was amazing, however our evening was made better by Audrey who looked after us so well, a beautiful person.

We always look forward to a meal at the Magpie whenever we visit Whitby, and are never disappointed. Extensive menu, the food is delicious and portions are generous.

Excellent food and service, everything perfect, so good booked again to bring family.

food was divine (as usual) and the service was as good as you would expect. I had the mussels to start which were excellent and Mandy had the crab which she said she enjoyed. for the main courses , Mandy's meal had a little too much sauce, has did mine but that is a small thing to gripe about considering the excellent quality and amount of food. WILL SEE YOU AGAIN SOON.

Excellent! After the long enforced break we enjoyed three evenings at the Magpie where the range of fish offered and the quality of cooking and presentation was superb as ever. The friendly service complimented the meals - we never ate the same dish or fish twice!

First time at the Magpie. The menu was extensive but decided upon good old fish and chips: absolutely delicious.

Fabulous sea food lots of choice and wonderful friendly service. Would recommend to everyone.
