Mogul – WhitefieldA lovely atmosphere, great food and right on the door step! It is something different to all the other food establishments in the local area - well worth a visit!
The White Room – Whitefieldhave been in a couple of times and have loved the place. BUT we went in two weeks ago and it was like some sort of gang meeting place. i felt very out of place. my boyfriend went to the toilet and said they seemed to be doing drugs in there. total shame as i like the place. lets hope they sort it out.
The White Room – WhitefieldVisited the White Room last night for a drink with my partner. We bought a bottle of wine and ended up having an unplanned meal. We were very impressed with the warm and pleasant atmosphere, happy bar staff, as well as the generous portions of food we ordered from the starter and main menu. I felt well and truly satisfied. The food was fresh, tasty and well presented. It was also lovely to have a selection of comfy chairs, bar stools and sofas to relax on. There was a good selection of music- new and old- I even recognised some vintage reggae music by a 'Lovers rock' singer-Carrol Thompson! which was playing in the background.Looking forward to visiting again -had an enjoyable evening.
The White Room – Whitefieldfood is good but price too high nice surroundings but too expensive for what it is
China Lounge – WhitefieldI visited the White Room on a busy night, not long after it opened. The waitress tipped a whole tray of drinks over my head and I was completely drenched. I was not offered any compensation by way of apology. Get your act together.
The White Room – WhitefieldThis is a superb restaurant. Tomal one of its owners has assembled a fantastic front of house team, and the quality of the varied menu is second to none. I would unreservedly recommend a night at the Blue Bay to all who enjoy Indian/Asian cuisine.
Blue Bay Restaurant – WhitefieldReally nice wine bar/eatery with friendly staff. Good food and good atmos. Perfect for a night with friends when you want to combine a few drinks and a nice feed.
The White Room – Whitefieldvery pleasant better class wine bar /eatery. Excellent friendly service, very relaxed intimate atmosphere. My Caesar salad although very acceptable could do with more ingredients such as olives/tomatoes/cucumber/egg to measure up to those served elsewhere in Prestwich/Whitefield. As long as it attracts the right clientele this could be a very popular all year round place. Prices compare to those in similar establishments north of the city.
The White Room – WhitefieldMyself and my wife visited the Whiteroom on Saturday evening. Fantastic decor, great ambience coupled with splendid food. Service was exceptional. Had an amazing night, the bar was very busy however service was quick. Finally Whitefield is firmly on the map and competing with the south side of Manchester, long may it continue!! Cant wait to go back !
The White Room – WhitefieldI visited the white room yesterday- and I have got to say how pleased i am. This is just what Whitefield needed. The decor is modern and luxurious, the atmosphere is great and the people are very friendly. Overall i would recommend this to anyone living in the surrounding area, great day/night out for a drink or something to eat!!! Well done and thank you for putting Whitefield on the map.
The White Room – WhitefieldHaving grown up in Prestwich I have spent many years envying the social amenities immediately available to Didsbury-ites on the other side of Manchester. I am delighted to say that we have finally been blessed with a venue that would compete if it were located on Wilmslow Road. Having been recommended The White Room by a friend I turned up on a Thursday night for a quick drink. I was pleasantly surprised by both the decor and the general ambience. The sporadic mix of comfy couches and bar stools, the fluttering of dinners and drinkers throughout the bar, the candle lighting and spacious seating area outside all add to the general charm. Although the wine list could be more extensive the bar is well stocked. I was also impressed with the appeal of The White Room with dinners and drinkers ranging from early 20s to late 50s all of whom appeared in good spirits and comfortable with their surrounds. An eclectic design and mix seemed to suit the bar very well. So impressed was I with the experience that I returned for a Sunday lunch. Nursing a rather heavy hangover I decided to go for the steak, ale and mushroom pie with chunky chip which proved to be absolutely delicious. Excellent comfort food and a generous portion. The menu itself was reasonable and offered a broad range for culinary preferences and a sizable childrens menu. The staff were helpful and curtious. I also noted that the dinners ranged from families to young couples. Overall I have been exceptionally impressed with The White Room and would recommend anyone reading this article, tired of the usual pubs (or pub - The Parkfield) north of Tescos, to give it a try.
The White Room – WhitefieldI visited the White Room recently. The surroundings were very relaxing & the staff were extremely helpful. The choice on the menu was excellent and there is also a daily special which I tried. I could not fault it at all & will definitely come here again.
The White Room – WhitefieldMogul has to be my find of this year. The exterior looks like an old brick Sunday school. Go through the doors and you're in another world: simple, serene, sophisticated. A high-ceilinged blend of subdued shades of grey with clever lighting and good modern furniture. And the unusually handsome waiters could pass for Bollywood movie stars. The food is refreshingly well-cooked and is noticeably free of that unpleasant gleam of a film of cooking fat. I started with meat samosas which were the best I have tasted since the two brothers, who sold little else, left Wilmslow Road in Rusholme all those years ago. A lamb jalfrezi was excellent and I also dipped into my companion's vegetable dopiaza which was just as good. With two jugs of mango lassi and soft drinks, the bill for the two of us came to under £33. Moghul beats anything on the Curry Mile and easily outstrips the modern Indian restaurants in the city centre.
Mogul – Whitefieldhi we use the china lounge weekly as they do a take away service as well, the food is always lovely and hot, the staff are very friendly and always happy to help i would recommend it strongly.
