I don’t usually have the time of the patience to leave feedback but in this instance I forced myself to do so. It is so rare that after dining at a restaurant I come home thinking about what excuse I can make to go back to eat there again.Last week an old university pal spontaneously came to stay with me - it was out of the blue and on a week night and I wasn’t sure where to take her at such short notice! We ended up walking around Birmingham’s City Centre and came across the buzzing atmosphere of Fumo – an Italian restaurant which is part of the San Carlo restaurant chain.Full of beautiful inviting people the night got better and better with yummy cocktails and a platter of delicious Venetian tapas which was reasonably priced and the perfect amount of food to share between two hungry girls! Under the helpful waiter’s recommendation the selection of food suitably tantalised our taste buds and left us with a full and satisfying feeling.Unknowingly we ended up spending three hours in there revelling in the friendly atmosphere and inviting fire .I thoroughly recommend Fumo to anyone, and my friend has gone back to Manchester to seek out Cicchetti, the Manchester restaurant from the San Carlo chain.A must go for anyone who wants and night out with delicious food, beautiful people and a buzzing atmosphere! I went out to Fumo with a few friends for after work drinks last week. I liked the vibe of it – the plates are perfect sizes for sharing and the cocktails taste great as well! Helped me relax after a stressful day in the office! It’s only a few minutes away from New Street so was easy to get home after our drinks! Jenny Pearson

Visited on Thursday 21st June. Veri impressive! Excellent service, friendly and professional waiting and maitre d's, cool setting, gorgeous food, lovely wine........A welcome addition to the Birmingham scene. Will definitely be returning. Ted Heath
