Five stars again for courtesy and great food. Don't too many take notice or there'll be no room. A great night, thanks

Lovely intimate restaurant, ideal for romantic meal for two. Excellent service, good food. Especially liked the complimentary tomato soup. Would go again for a special occasion. Four of us went for my Aunts 60th, very accommodating.

Shame!! My wife had breast cancer last year. I shaved my head in support of her as her hair was falling out in clumps every time she would brush or run her hand through her hair. It made her laugh and brought her spirits up in a time when she was going through so much. I have read that you are "nice people" who cook great food! Well most "nice people" I know, would be a whole lot more understanding of this situation. Do the right thing apologize to this lady for a wonderful charitable act that she did and your absolutely terrible reaction. At the same time apologize to the general public for being so unthoughtful in your actions. Maybe then they may come back to eat at your establishment. By the way - my employers were more than supportive of me in shaving my head! Made me feel good to work for "Nice People".

We went to Nathaniel's for our anniversary a couple of weeks ago and once again it was fantastic. The food was superb, a perfectly cooked rib eye steak was accompanied by a fantastic herb crust. The great thing about this restaurant, apart from the food, is the service. Although it had been five months since our last visit, we were greeted like old friends and the owner even remembered the things we had talked about on our last visit. We mentioned that it was our anniversary and the desert plates were decorated with 'happy anniversary' in chocolate sauce - a lovely touch. Tonight we went to book our table for new years eve, and whilst examining the menu we were treated to a complementary glass of fantastic Cabernet sauvignon. I simply cannot recommend this restaurant highly enough, full marks to the guys who run the restaurant and one which deserves the support of us, the general public.

We've eaten at Nathaniel's a few times. It really is a bit too variable and the ambiance isn't special. Some food combinations just don't work. Was pleased that the desserts seemed to have picked up a bit, but what's the point of icing sugar on the top of creme brulee? (Actually, it disguises the fact that the brulee part wasn't great.)
The wine list is very short and very limited and, frankly, I don't think the Maitre D' really understands it. Coffee is from a machine and is bad.
Nice table linen and cutlery don't compensate for slow service and moderately good food.
You can eat better for less in Birmingham!

This is a lovely, relaxed restaurant. The decor contributes to the laid back atmosphere, and the service was very attentive.
The prices are well worth it, especially considering the cost of some nearby restaurants that are not in the same league.
The menu is imaginative, and the food was very good quality.

My wife and I dined at Nathaniels on Valentines evening and even though this is one of the busiest days for a restaurant, the food, service and relaxed atmosphere were all second to none. I would like to wish the owners all the very best success as they have created a wonderful dining experience by serving very high quality food coupled with friendly, attentive and professional service. All this in a lovely relaxed and stylish environment. Bravo!
