Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisCame here after talking to a neighbour about an experience I had at another Indian in Bognor Town. They were extremely busy but the service was spot on. Had a little laugh with the waiters and felt a quick bond with them from the second they started taking our order.Couldn't believe the prices of the food!Coming from a busy area of London where a Chicken Jalfrezi would cost about £10 to now I believe just under £4 was very impressed! While eating our main meal one of the waiters came over with a chilli paste for us to try as I ordered Jalfrezi. He told us its completely free but as he knows we like chilli food he said we should like the flavour from it.We did all try it,I absolutely loved the paste but my friend who isn't a big fan of chilli food gave it a go and ended up having to drink iced cold Water for 5 Minutes which was a laugh! The food was spot on,no oily food just perfect! End of the night the bill came to about £23 for 3 people. So will be returning here! Now if you have been reading my reviews I don't like restaurants who refurbish their restaurant and forget which country they represent !Elmer does have a lot of big pictures which have a 3d effect to them and I do really like that. The seats do need refurbishing as they look fairly old but other than that will be returning here.
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisBest fish and chip shop in Bognor Regis. Always lovely and clean and friendly staff.
Small Fry – Bognor RegisFantastic meal all the family wanted to come back next week for all the fun and good food. Mother loved the Palak Panneer, can she get the recipe? Very cheeky but she needs to know how to cook it xx
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisHave been using the restaurant for almost 9 years now and have always been pleased with the amazing cheap prices. Chicken korma is priced at only £3.50 and the price has not gone up much over the years!!! Last time went down with the family and the service was superb as we were still ordering our main meal another waiter had come over with our popadoms and chutney tray which was very impressive as they were extremely busy! Food was amazing and the atmosphere is always superb. With carved drawings in the glass, so when the light is switched on the drawings look almost life like with the beautiful 3d effect. The service has always been excellent with the main boss and the staff always doing jokes with my father and the family. If you havent tried an Elmer curry you are truly missing out. :)
Elmer Tandoori – Bognor RegisWent to Malthouse today with my good friend and we had one of the best Sunday roasts ever given it was mothers day and all the good Pubs were closed fortune smiled really kindly upon us today Fabulous food could not fault it and it puts a lot of pricier places to shame
Malthouse Restaurant – Bognor RegisThis is a very small and cosy restaurant, tucked away in the back roads of Felpham Village, opposite the “Fox” pub. There is something a bit quirky about the feel of this place - perhaps due to the simplicity of the décor - but it is clean, cosy and welcoming with pictures of the sea on the walls - I think it’s great! It’s the kind of place you could go to in your jeans or dressed up a little more and you never feel awkward or uncomfortable either way! There is always a friendly welcome and good service at all times. Starters included: mussels in garlic & white wine sauce; black pudding with bacon and pine kernels, tiger prawns with ginger and lime; duck liver pate & toast; We had the mussels and the black pudding - both of which were absolutely lovely - the best part of the meal!! Main Courses included: plaice in beer batter; meat pie & mashed potato; a selection of steaks with different sauces; slow roasted shoulder of lamb with port & rosemary sauce; pork with mushrooms in a vermouth and cream sauce; peppers stuffed with risotto. We both had the pork in the vermouth & cream sauce, which was really delicious - well balanced flavours, very tasty and plenty of it!!! Desserts included: gin & lime ice cream, tiramisu, profiteroles in 3 chocolate sauces, raspberries in port, cheesecake, pecan pie, apple pie. This was not the best part of the meal - the desserts were homemade, but my husband’s profiteroles were rather hard and my tiramisu tasted a little strange. However, this was a small glitch in a brilliant evening. The service was fantastic all evening and there was a great atmosphere in the restaurant, with lively conversation between guests, and the chef and waitress. To top it all off, we were given a homemade lemon licquer, which was really delicious! We have been here a couple of times now and love it - would love to see people support local restaurants like this…..give it a try!
