If this is what a rosette restaurant is meant to be I am much happier eating in the pub down the road from Alexander House.
Perhaps the worst food in my 40 years was discovered here where the lamb was nothing but ligament and fat. revolting food! my wife's chicken was also undercooked. our son's sausages though of pretty good quality was stone cold.
Oh! and did I forget it took nearly an hour for the urgent food for our child to arrive.
Not really sure why anyone would eat there and for the AA to award them the rosette's.. well either they have certainly lowered their standards or the general concept and excuse of 'lack of quality staff' become a scale now being used to award such a depressing restaurant the awards they do have!
Plus the service (which by the way was virtual in its presence) with its absence in its entirity was the icing on the cake.
If anything could be worse the breakfast was perhaps the lowest point of our dining at the Alexander!!!!
it took all of 35 minutes for 4 of us to be served and then to be served completely the wrong order.
My wife and grandparents asked for - fried eggs, bacon and tomato with mushrooms. I ordered fried egg, sausages and bacon. what we were served was - for the three rubbery eggs, SAUSAGES and a mushroom with tomato --- all cold though it took over half an hour to arrive. my breakfast was again the same eggs.. rubbery, cold sausages and unbelievably raw bacon rashers with blood running from between the unccoked rind.... also i specifically asked for no tomato and mushroom as i was intolerant to mushroom and wahlalah!! what do i get on my plate.. MUSHROOM
when we asked for the order to be corected the same bacon I had cut appeared with the same cold sausages and horrible eggs again after another 20 minutes...
As said I would not even send my enemy there let alone step a foot in there again.
NEVER GO THERE AND EAT...... SIMPLE VERDICT OF AN EX-CUSTOMER
