While I've nothing to particularly complain about, there was nothing either to make this place stand out, and there are much better restaurants in Carmarthenshire for the same price tag. The food was nice with generous portions but not spectacular, the service was ok - friendly, but the waitresses all seemed inexperienced. The decor is much better upstairs, and the bar area is lovely. But, all in all, not a place I'd go back to when there's better locally.

Went for one of their Jazz Nights, the music was excellent if a little too loud to enjoy any conversation whilst dining - although our table was right next to the band so probably didn't help. Good points - beautiful location. Unfortunately they have a set menu on Jazz nights which was not mentioned on their website and I was not advised when I booked the table. The food was very poor - I ordered oven baked trout with tarragon and a red pepper sauce - it came stuffed full of rosemary(more rosemary than trout) and was inedible. The staff were not even slightly interested in our comments and were appallingly slow - to the point where we cancelled our desserts and coffee despite the fact we had paid for them as part of their set menu. Menu was pricey for the standard/quality of food delivered. All in all one of the worst evenings I have ever had at a restaurant, I live locally and I will not be recommending them to anyone - if you want good food go to The Angel at Salem which is wonderful.

What a fantastic place. Why isn't it better known? If it was in the Home Counties it would be booked up weeks ahead. The location has to be the best we have discovered in Wales.
