I have experienced several perfect dining experiences at this establishment. The staff are friendly and helpful, your every need is catered for and consistency is evident. The menu is varied and the meals reasonably priced, this restaurants reputation speaks for itself as it is always a good idea to book even though it is tucked away on one of the quieter streets of Sketty. Its nice to know you and your companions are always going to be happy and satisfied when they leave

I have just returned from an evening at Vincents Restaurant (a small Mediterranean restaurant on the outskirts of the centre of the city) on a busy Saturday night.
The menu is quite extensive offering Tapas, a'la carte and a separate fish menu which was very encouraging. All our courses in terms of flavour and value for money were very good.
Unfortunately, our evening was tarnished by the poor service we received at the restaurant. We were greeted with a friendly face as we arrived and shown to our table. We then subsequently waited approximately 15 minutes to be asked had we had a menu or ordered drinks. Following our order being taken we waited an hour for our starters to arrive, we did receive one apology about forty minutes after we ordered. When the starters arrived at our table the waitress politely explained that there had been a mix up with the tickets. Furthermore while the starter plates were cleared the other waitress who was serving in the restaurant emerged from the kitchen with our main course hardly giving us time to breathe. Obviously because of the time we spent waiting for our food to be served this gave us an opportunity to observe other diners. We witnessed two tables complain to the restaurant manager (and this term should be used very loosely). It then became excruciating to sit at listen to the restaurant staff (including manager) insult and generally 'run down' the customers who had complained and consequently vacated the premises. Unfortunately, it took the manager 15 minutes to write out a bill, when he brought it to our table asked how we enjoyed our food (not our evening) when we commented on the food he did not hang around to listen to our comments regarding the poor service we had received.
Overall, the food at Vincents is very good and well presented and the decor of the restaurant very fresh and modern. However as I have made clear in the above statements it is let down by its lack of service and the staffs inability to accept polite constructive criticism. Unfortunately, we will not be returning.
