This is a very good restaurant. I have eaten here a number of times, and have yet to leave the table unsatisfied.
You can get 3 courses on Sundays for £14, I typically have something like this:
Mushrooms in a Cream & Garlic Sauce to start, followed by Roast Sirloin of Welsh Black Beef with Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire pudding and a rich gravy, and then, to top it off a Baileys Cheesecake.
The quality v. good, and portion sizes are normally quite generous.
Good wine list too.

Excellent place to visit for traditional Sunday Roast with all the trimmings. The meat comes from the local farm, as do all the vegetables, and it is always very, very well prepared. For less than £20 per head for 3 courses and wine. I use this hotel regularly for entertaining, and it has never let me down.

The restaurant at the manor pride theselves on providing only locally produced food. Including meat from the local farm which is worked by the family that run the hotel. They told me that nothing on my plate had travelled further than 7 miles, that's quite an achievement in this day and age.
Although the food was very good and the service more than acceptable, eating in the lovely surrounds of the Usk valley really topped the occassion.

I have just stayed at The Manor, and I love the fact that the family who own the hotel also run a farm about 5 miles away. Here they rear all the meat that is eventually served up on the dinner table at The Manor. All the fresh produce is also locally sourced. For those of us that care about the food we eat and the impact the production of it has on the environment - this hotel really is a must.
