A perfect venue for a special birthday treat...we travelled some miles to 1861 but was well worth the trip. The food was outstanding compliments to the chef, and the service was second to none. We will certainly be visiting again!
The Whitcombes
We have been about 6 times, and each time the food was excellent - the standard is always consistent. The tasting menu is out of this world.

Excellent food served in pleasant surroundings. It was a nice surprise to receive extra tasters of things you didn't expect. The waiting staff and chef were more than helpful with my wheat intolerant diet.

We have visited this restaurant on two occasions and have had excellent food and service...we will be going again.
LJ
I cant fault this restaurant at all, the food was fantastic and we will definitely be going back again!

This Inn is now called 1861 and is run by Roux Brothers trained chef Simon King. It is a very welcome addition to the restaurants of Wales and is sure to have a Michelin star in the near future. It could not be faulted.
