Hello to all at the smiths arms and would mainly like to say thank you for the excellent sunday lunch we experienced on the 8/7! Young man behind the carvery was extremely polite and the service from him and the rest of the staff was impeccable! A performance to be proud of!

My first thoughts of this establishment was what a quaint little village pub. The bar is quite small but very welcoming. the barman was very helpful in revering me to there offers that were on i myself decided to go for a pint of front row and my partner had bottle of jp chenet while glazing over the menu i spotted a traditional welsh starter of mushroom stuffed with cockles and lava bread and the wife had the soup of the day which was a rich cream of vegetable. when arrived the dishes looked outstanding but one thing was a let down the soup was to bland but despise that quite nice. then for main course i had the minted lamb shank with seasonal veg and my partner had a mushroom and baby Sweetcorn stroganoff which was full of flavour and the lamb was so tender it was just falling of the bone and the veg was seasoned perfectly a perfect main course. for dessert after all how could we resist my wife had sticky toffee pudding with ice cream and i had a good selection of welsh cheeses with all the trimmings. to complete our meal we returned to the bar where we had two Irish coffees. i will be returning to this quiet little country style pub some time soon hope you have a similar experience.
